Why are these Stone Soup Robes? Because these are-- deep breath now--

Simborg's two-group edit of JellyMeduza's MtF edit of Cynnix's FantasyRogue Poulaines edit of Oph3lia's morphed cross-less edit of Aligeth's Friar Tuck robe. With texture credits to Sherahbim (wool), Magpie (linen), Aligeth (a little of the cowl, still) and Iamliz13 (belt), as well as FantasyRoge (shoes) and my very own self (hose).

They come to you for CU (Cynnix), TF (Meduza), TM (Cynnix), YAEF (Meduza), and YAEM (Cynnix), fat morphs all around and I think pregmorphs for teen and up, in 82 Pooklet Project Mayhem, Aelia Autumn, and CuriousB Any Color You Like actions, texture-referenced (Skell-style, with the textures in their own packages) because I wouldn't do that to myself, much less you.

So what in the heck are these? Are they historically adequate? Why are they unisex?

Well.

Lo these many years ago-- egad thirteen years ago?-- I did an invisible recolor of Bon Voyage's Spiritual Shrine of Odd Blessings. I liked it, I used it, but it was SUPER basic, and honestly it wasn't the best idea-- invisible polygons still render, you just can't see them. Sunni made me the gift of a stripped-down shrine with all of the shrine bits stripped off, and I was always going to recolor it... and now I've done it. A little late but better late than never?

It's cloned from the Spiritual Shrine of Odd Blessings and therefore requires Bon Voyage. The shrine comes in 46 recolors using 23 granite, limestone, and marble recolors from Wood For Sims and various stock image and stone-and-tile selling websites; each type of rock has both a full pedestal-and-offering-bowl (look for "full") and offering-bowl-only (look for "BowlOnly") version. I have also updated the catalog description and added quarter-tile-cheat compatibility.

Where everything's made up and the points don't matter! )

... I really wish I had a better title, but. For a couple weeks there I was legit obsessed with this project. So.

For Reasons, I need to be able to make a Sim into an eldritch forest god. With antlers and one eye. Luckily, Midgethetree took Danie's Simsational bottom-only conversion of Savant Inamorata's satyr mesh, added morphs, and age and gender converted the thing, and then Simborg fixed a weird shadow issue carried through from the Savant Inamorata original, and now I I have... far too many cervid pants, really.

The Lord of the Forest is gonna get drunk off windfall apples and fight a tree... again. )

And once again it is entirely likely I've messed up a link or seven somewhere (I like big sets and I cannot lie, but I'm only passable at HTML), so please, let me know and I'll fix it-- but in case I don't fix it fast, the Sims File Share folder for everything is here, if you can't download something you want, check there first.

So, last year, when I released mermaid tails and a few tops, I had... a reasonable number of things. THIS year, though. This year got a little nuts, because Magical Girl Sandbox made me some fantastic much-needed meshes, and then I found some old meshes that gave me Ideas, and THEN.

Then I noticed, while I was making some new tops using "my" original textures (the ones I adjusted from the TS4 originals that definitely Gryning and... possibly Meduza? I have a PDF credited to her but I can't find where I downloaded it), when I was cutting and pasting and stretching those TS4 textures to fit onto TS2 mapping...

I had adjusted ALL of them CROOKED.

Here, just look at this-- )

This is... not a terribly original set, but it's a set I made to please myself, and if there's one thing I know, it's that if I want something? At least ten people who keep an eye on this blog also want the thing.

So what you get here is, uh, Magic Uniforms, basically: if you took the Apartment Life witch-wizard-warlock stuff and designated it as the Official Magus Uniform, that'd be what this is. Stuff I made, stuff Skell made, stuff Digi made, stuff Ghanima made, stuff Neder made and ElfPuddle edited, stuff that didn't really NEED to get made but I did it anyway, and all of it except the hatless hairs a) pinned to Apartment Life and b) BINX-edited so they stay together at the very front of the AL section of the catalog, and all of it heavily texture-referenced.

What do you get? Well!

Some of this and some of this and of course this and a little of this and a few changes to this and some tweaks to this and some new stuff entirely!

The interesting thing about 'witch' and 'wizard' is that they both stem from the same root word-- wit or wise. However! )

And that's all I've got for the Mage College.

Hriveresse's War Exalted Greek Kitchen (with edits by the inimitable Fractured Moonlight) comes in--

Well, okay. Okay first of all, what happened is, I was going to do 20 Pooklet Project Mayhem recolors of Hriveresse's Greek Kitchen counters and fridge, and then the dishwasher and trash compactor, because boy do I use those a lot.

Sadly, Hriveresse got all her texture-referencing right, in that the base recolors all worked, but not all of the dependent meshes, you know. Were recolorable. Or mapped in a way where recolors functioned normally.

Fractured Moonlight very graciously:

a) fixed all that, including shifting which object was referenced for better functionality
and
b) re-mapped everything to work with the specific way I, me, personally, like to recolor/retexture Stuff.

Which meant that in gratitude, I felt a need to sort of... show off for Frac. Demonstrate what I can do with The Good Mapping. So while this set was originally going to be 20 woods and 13 crockery?

The Greek Kitchen Redux set has:

Counter Finish (legs, backboard, supports, etc) in 20 Pooklet Projext Mayhem plain SDA Kitchen/Piggi 03 woods and 20 SDA/Piggi Carved Pooklet Project Mayhem woods (SimAges stripes on the legs, Kativip LS SD02 Round Table on the borders, Kativip LS City Bench insets, and half a chip-carved plate I found on Google at least ten years ago).

Counter Top (counters and bottom shelf; on the fridge, all shelves) in 20 Project Mayhem plain SDA Kitchen/Piggi 03 woods, 20 Project Mayhem scuffed SDA/Piggi/Kativip (LS City Table) woods, and 23 stone textures (12 marble, 5 limestone, 6 Wood For Sims marble)

Counter Top AND Counter Finish in 12 Sunni Wizard's Tower metals

AND

Stamnos and Pithos (and therefore, Hydria dishwasher and Stamnos trash compactor) in 13 'crockery' recolors that are actually burgled from plaster, wattle, lime, and stucco walls, with Hriveresse's original grooves blended over the top for shaping

I'm showing off for Frac and I do not regret it at all. 153 recolors in total. Hey Ma, look what I can do! )

Everybody and their uncle knows I play a Medieval game, and anybody who knows anything about the Middle Ages in Europe knows that religion was a HUGE part of life. Chris Hatch added religion for Sims to his Angels & Nurses fan-expansion, and graciously extracted Lite and Middle versions for people who want religion, but don't want to install a fan-made expansion pack that would probably break their personal mod suite.

Unfortunately, the Lite version of the mod (which is compatible with most other mods) is just cosmetic; you get the fun of making up deities and setting up tenets, but it has no actual effect on your game. Because three of the five tenets of each faith were romantic and sexual in nature, the Middle version conflicts with InTeen, among other things.

I can't do without InTeen until I find a mod or mod suite that fully replaces the features I want (in order, Young Adult marriage and pregnancy, non-student or mixed student/non-student families in a Uni subhood, miscarriage, alien pregnancy for teens, young adults, and adults of all genders (not part of InTeen but I do want it), and Teen pregnancy and marriage), and of course my love for feature-adding mods stems from adding features, not just adding flavor text. Neither strength of Chris Hatch's extracted religion really worked for me.

And then in came Larky, who I no longer know where to find, and who, in a thread lost to one of the many attacks on Garden of Shadows over the years, took my ideas for a religion mod that banned only non-romantic interactions and made it a reality.

This is that mod.

Did you just download G-Rated Religion? Good for you! It's a great mod. Are you stuck thinking, "Man, I wish there were more interactions I could ban. There's a lot of stuff in later expansion packs that's kind of... yeah."

Have I ever got good news for you!

Because Veetie had to drop from this year's Blind Date event (because health; and I honestly am not fussed because I had to drop out of my second Secret Santa ever), I was supposed to end up with a Super Blind Date. However, because my wishlist is patently ridiculous (I know, I know, but my theme is SO SPECIFIC that I like to give people who maybe aren't used to the Middle Ages a lot of options), Shasta instead asked literally everyone who had volunteered as a Super Blind Date if they could make me one little thing, instead of swooping in with a full pinch-hitting.

Everyone said yes, and I'm still kinda gobsmacked about it.

You can find the gifts here.

The last gift I got was from ElfPuddle, who tried very hard to figure out how to default clothing, a new skill for them. ElfPuddle didn't quite make it, but sent me all the bits they'd gathered-- and I do know how to default clothes and hair (I just don't have the time to make literally everything I want for my game, more's the pity). So ElfPuddle sent everything they got done, I did a little bit more and then discovered I don't know how to do defaults with LESS groups than the originals, but maybe somebody else knows what they're doing.

On the other hand... I got some recolors done?

Gown Swatch
Hair Swatch
Hair Turnaround

So what you have above is K8's Fairy Witch gown (2,334 polys, with AF pregmorph and TF & CF conversions by Cynnix) and Trapping's All-Ages AL Witch Hat (1,265 polys, probably requires Apartment Life) in Neder's Neutral Red Mage colors, tweaked by ElfPuddle and tweaked some more by me (I fiddled with a sleeve and some laces and made the stomacher burgundy to help break up the red). I've included what should be an extracted mesh so you can use the witch hat if you don't have Apartment life installed, but I can't check it.

This was intended to be a Matchmaker default replacement, because one of the things I've been doing lately is trying to strip as much Accidental Racism out of my game (and my brain) as I can. Job one is changing my collection of Far East stuff to a collection of Actually Japanese stuff (I'm aiming for Heian Japan but I'm not going to be terrifically picky), but coming in a very close second is clearing out the ethnic-slur-for-Roma stereotypes. (Yes, the title Scarlet Witch was chosen with my tongue so far in my cheek it almost counts as a piercing.)

But we failed at defaulting, Elfpuddle and I, so instead it's just a nice stand-alone gown-and-hat set.

Gowns are available for casual, maternity, outerwear, and formal. Hats come binned my usual way, with a gray for each color because it's easier for downloaders to remove one rather than add one if they want to re-bin (go ahead and re-bin, Shrapnel makes a nice brown and both Safety Fuse and Comburent could pass as blonds, you do you). Not compressorized because I forgot.

And if you think you can fix my default replacements for the Matchmaker, I welcome and encourage you to beat up my files to do so. (Maybe I screwed up starting with the FT version instead of the NL one? But everything says 'grab from the latest EP you have,' so I dunno. I swear I've defaulted this way before, just... with more groups instead of less.)

Hey guess what!

Rugrat0ne did the thing!

So you can now grab Rugs' default of my edit of ElfPuddle's edit of Neder's Red Mage textures on Cynnix's edit of K8's FairyWitch gown and change your Matchmakers from pink-and-orange Halloween costumes to crimson-clad mages of indeterminate morality! Includes a working copy of the extracted AL Witch Hat mesh for non-Apartment-Life users; apparently mine flashes blue because I don't know what I'm doing. Uploaded that one separately just in case you want witch hats in your pre-AL game, but don't want the default. (Makes my other Pooklet'd witch hats work for pre-AL games, too!)

Here's a short little upload, if I've done it right...

Smoke Bomb (basically a layer of Time Bomb set to Multiply over a layer of Mail Bomb) has been my go-to Family Two homebrew gray for AGES, because I like having four colors in every bin for each hair. It's nice. I made it with Photoshop 6 (no CS or anything, just 6), so it should work from at least Photoshop 6 on up-- ideally if you can run the rest of Project Mayhem, you should be able to run Smoke Bomb.

Grab it here on Mediafire or here on Sims File Share, all unzipped and totally without policy, because the policy is Pooklet's policy. This is effectively just an expansion of Pooklet's work, using Pooklet's work, so don't do anything with Smoke Bomb that you're not allowed to do with the rest of Project Mayhem.

Also known as, my GoS 2013 Egg Hunt project!

Do you know what's unfortunate?

It's unfortunate that so many of the absolutely unutterably adorable toys out there for Sim kids are look-at toys, not play-with toys. I don't know about you, but I always had problems with look-at toys-- I tended to climb up to that high shelf, pull them down, and play with them. Sim kids, if you don't have Open For Business, can get a toybox and play with exactly four toys. You can default replace these, but as far as I know nobody's figured out how to add to them yet.

Making them buyable was easy... but a few other things were kind of tricky.

My favorite expansion pack for Sims 1 is Makin' Magic. There's just so much stuff about it that I miss so much now that I'm pretty well devoted to Sims 2. The spinning wheel that made golden thread, the silly mushroom chase games to get rare spell ingredients, the ability to turn your fellow Sims into frogs, pet dragons that actually set things on fire, the entirety of Magic Town...

And of course Bonehilda, who functioned much like a Servo but was actually a skeleton in a French maid costume.

When Sentate released a Servo dressed as Bonehilda, I squeed in Sims-1-loyalty delight. Awkwardly, I'm kind of a little bit in love with my own wooden Servos, but I got to talking with [personal profile] faechangeling, and... Well, this happened.

You do their work, and they shall have good luck. )
