Still On Hiatus but about Missing Hairs

I have gotten your comments and PMs, everybody, but I'm in the 'crunch time' portion of my Usual Summer Simming Hiatus-- my big miniature show is next weekend and the prep is extra-"fun" this year what with my sister, her husband, their toddler, their pets, and all their stuff moved in and underfoot. So, blanket response to everything about missing hairs:

1. The MT Cakestore hairs get pulled down a LOT, I don't know why.
2. Yes, I have backups. I have triple backups. I have a passport drive full of backups.
3. I'll fix the links but I don't have time to do so right now.
4. Yes, I probably should switch to Sims File Share.
5. Yes, if you have your own copies of hairs people are looking for, feel free to share them while Mediafire is being Mediafire.
6. No, further comments as to which files are down probably will not help.

I hate to sound prickly but I'm on hiatus, I will be on hiatus until at least the middle of September and possibly until early October, the way things are going. I never have time to Sim in the summer and this year hasn't been a great year for 'things Hat can do for fun' since February.

I can only imagine how often you must have refreshed your email and checked your spam filter, wondering if I'd ever reply to you, especially since it took you two months to see if I'd responded in the same format you chose. You still haven't left your email, but I don't know you, so I'm not having a conversation with you where no one else can see it.

You also didn't bring receipts, not so much as a 'well, SHE said, then I said.' You want me to put in the effort to verify vague claims you're making, rather than making a convincing argument yourself. And as for why I ask for proof, for even anecdotal evidence? You came into my space and called another woman cruel, wrathful, selfish, lazy, vindictive, manipulative, nasty, untrustworthy, and a control freak. I am not the sort of person who sees that laundry list of insults and goes "Oh dear! Well if you say so it must be true." You want me to believe all that crap, ableism aside, then you have to prove it.

I honestly thought you'd taken one look at my reply, figured out that you weren't going to get your validation here, and weren't coming back. I was not sad.

Sunni and I are not what you'd call bosom companions. We've talked many times, almost always about Sims, because we've been in similar circles of the same community for the last seven and a half years. I think maybe she offered well-wishes when my cat was sick, or later condolences after she died. Neither of us knows the other particularly well; I know Sunni primarily through her body of work and what posts of hers I've read, and she knows me basically the same way. I'm emotionally closer to the waitstaff at my favorite restaurant than I am with Sunni, and she only knows as much about me as literally anyone else who reads this blog.

I have no illusions as to why you chose to contact me here rather than on Garden of Shadows or Mod the Sims. There are no moderators here, no one to buffer between you and me, and you can make your emotional appeals without fear of modly reprisal-- I'm the sole owner and operator of this blog, responsible for its content and policing its comments, and if you approach me here I have to deal with you myself.

So this is me dealing with you myself.

I don't care that you got banned from Plumb Bob Keep. I don't care that Stephanie got banned, or that Sophie-David got banned. I don't care what Sunni does on her own website, because it's her own website, and anyone unhappy at the Keep has the ability to make their own website. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

I don't believe you about why you got banned, because your attempts at emotional manipulation are laughably transparent. You're trying to frame the circumstances of your ban as a tantalizing mystery, a secret you're offering to let me in on-- a secret you expect me to want to be in on. You want me to sympathize with you, with Stephanie, with Sophie-David, before you'll go into any kind of detail about your version of events. It's a transparent grab for conversational high ground, to get me to make an emotional investment before hearing "facts" that you don't seem likely to be able to spin in your favor otherwise. You're even hedging your bets by saying you "trusted the wrong person" but refusing to state that person's name. Heaven forbid you risk me being on speaking terms with them, able to verify your claims.

I'm not falling for it. If you had tea you'd spill it. You don't want to tell me anything concrete until you're sure I'll be on your side-- which probably means you don't actually believe you were in the right.

You are over-reacting to being banned from a messageboard. Stephanie is over-reacting to being banned from a messageboard by an order of magnitude.

Your persistent use of pseudo-Medieval language (I am not your lady and 'banished' is a cutesy term for 'permanently banned' that only the Keep uses) is creeping me the fuck out. This is not a roleplay blog.

Your attempted apology was incomplete, insincere, half-assed, padded with false equivalencies, and I don't believe you're actually sorry you rode in here on Trump's coattails and used a dehumanizing term for someone with control issues, you're just sorry I got mad at you for it. Apology not accepted.

I actually didn't know you had replied. I didn't find out until yesterday, when I was googling something else. I have been in contact with better quality people than you. Do not expect me to come back to this snake pit, for all I have found is not a high-quality Sims modder, but a hateful and snarling bulldog.

Forgive me for assuming you were a nice, understanding, and thoughtful person. You just proved that you aren't and showed a shining example as to why you and Sunni get along so well. You two would be peas in a pod.

You actually think I'm some kind of conniving, manipulative schemer? What kind of crap have your friends been feeding you? Manipula-loops? I'd rather DIE than run that POS kingdom of Sunni's. And she doesn't need my help in killing the place, she's doing that all by herself by banishing so many people. A lot of people have noticed the site has been slowly imploding in on itself, and the only place your friend needs to look to see who's responsible for that is the mirror and her two minions, Fractured Moonlight and Celestial Spider.

I didn't know I could talk to you on GoS or MTS2. I don't fear Moderators of those places, considering they are not as conniving and selfish as the people at the Cursed Keep.

I hope you eventually learn what is driving that hate inside you, and seek professional help in dealing with it before something bad happens to you.

I've actually stayed away from mentioning politics directly, but since these are my last words on this shit site, I'll make it perfectly clear that I take great pleasure in watching REAL AMERICANS thwart your jack-ass party's attempts at a communist, leftist coup and crushing America underfoot. I'm GLAD your bitch queen Hillary didn't win, and that Trump's going to save our nation. It's amazing how childish and vicious people like you can get when your own evil candidate doesn't win an election they so THOUGHT was in the bag. It's payback after what your false god on Capitol hill did to the rest of America, selling us down the river like that for 8 years. You didn't see me throwing childish tantrums after the '08 and '12 elections. I stewed quietly for a bit and then got along with my life.
