Lo these many years ago-- egad thirteen years ago?-- I did an invisible recolor of Bon Voyage's Spiritual Shrine of Odd Blessings. I liked it, I used it, but it was SUPER basic, and honestly it wasn't the best idea-- invisible polygons still render, you just can't see them. Sunni made me the gift of a stripped-down shrine with all of the shrine bits stripped off, and I was always going to recolor it... and now I've done it. A little late but better late than never?

It's cloned from the Spiritual Shrine of Odd Blessings and therefore requires Bon Voyage. The shrine comes in 46 recolors using 23 granite, limestone, and marble recolors from Wood For Sims and various stock image and stone-and-tile selling websites; each type of rock has both a full pedestal-and-offering-bowl (look for "full") and offering-bowl-only (look for "BowlOnly") version. I have also updated the catalog description and added quarter-tile-cheat compatibility.

Behold the Tip Jar!

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. I don't do pay content and I can't seem to get requests done in a timely fashion, so donors get a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery (you help feed my cats, you get to see lots and lots of pictures of my cats) and my to-do list Google doc, in case there's anything on there that makes a donor go 'oooh, when are you working on that one?'

Maylin's Church Lectern comes in 20 Pooklet Project Mayhem Naturals over a blend of Piggi's Wood 03 and my SDA/Piggi Castle Kitchen wood (the straight-up kitchen wood didn't work as well as I wanted on its own, so it got a double-dose of Piggi 03).

Clocking in at a clean-lined 162 polys, this lectern is a useful alternative to some of the high-poly or weird meshes out there. ... That said, it does have its problems-- )

Eva's Cauldron Stove (with fix by Sunni) comes in twelve awkwardly-labeled Sunni Wizard's Tower metals, with three new food textures each-- boiling water, a plain grain pottage, and pease porridge (okay actually it's zucchini soup, but it was the only image I could find that was the right color and consistency and didn't have Fancy Plating swirls of sour cream) for a total of 36 reasonably historical recolors.

... And when I say 'reasonably historical,' I mean that while this IS a very accurate cauldron, Eva did a great job there, and Sunni's metals are pretty fantastic... I'm pretty sure a cauldron this big wouldn't have come in quite so many metals, and frankly 'Blueish' and 'Cloudy' look a little galvanized for the Middle Ages. (Also I'm pretty sure that a silver cauldron was... not a thing at all. But listen if your witches WANT one, here it is!) Read on! )

Honeywell's 3t2 Aurora Skies Pride & Joy wooden refrigerator (requires Free Time and) comes in 20 Pooklet Project Mayhem naturals over that blend of SDA Castle Kitchen and Piggi Wood 03 I like so much, with the original textures for hardware.

Please note, the mesh comes packaged with three recolors of the wood and a couple of the art, including the invisible art recolor (which I generally recommend with a period game). Also note, I did not alter the contents of the fridge, as that calls for default replacing. The food is still modern and pre-packaged. Read on! )

Atavera's Contrabass (with Argon instrument hack fix!) is one of the very first things I recolored for Buy Mode Blitz... and I did not leave myself a helpful file of notes for it. So this is gonna be a very seat-of-the-pants entry!

So, first things first, as with most things I recolor in wood, Atavera's Contrabass comes in 20 Pooklet Project Mayhem naturals... over I think Piggi Wood 03. Like, I think this was the object that I discovered Piggi Wood 03 was the nicest I had for smooth grain, but it was definitely before I stared mixing the SDA Kitchen wood in there.

But I didn't leave myself any notes, so I'm only pretty sure. It's definitely a Piggi wood, at least? Read on! )

CTNutmegger's tablecloths (texture-referenced by hkaw, you're getting every mesh I found) come in the lead 1x2, 1x1 round, 1x1 square, 1x2 again but slightly lowered/remapped, and 1x3 versions. I have done them in 85 colors (Pooklet Project Mayhem natural, Aelia Autumn, and CuriousB Any Color You Like full sets, with a bonus of Aelia's Eco Ecru, Vanilla, and Beige to round out my usual eight linens) all on Magpie's linen texture. Yes, including things like Flash Powder, Mango, and Chocolate. Your Sims' wedding colors are their business, not mine. Or maybe you need to set up a trade show or something where every table has to have a flame-retardant tablecloth and vendors do like to stand out by using different colors (my tablecloths for miniature shows are black).

There are two versions, one with a simple hem that isn't denoted in any way, and FANCY, which has a strip of darker-self-embroidery. My original goal was to get that fancy version a lot fancier, but my notes say that would've taken making the textures, like, four times larger, and nobody wants that when I've gone and made 170 of the things. Read on! )

I am not pretending that basketball is a Medieval sport. I went and researched basketball for this post (and I left myself notes, so I get to share that research with you), so I know darned well it is not a Medieval sport. I am, however, going to admit that there are very few ways to get a Medieval Sim who loves sports their Sports Enthusiasm, so... no one talk shit about HORSE, of course?

... Yeah the Mister Ed reference isn't really working, is it.

The Free Time H-O-R-S-E Of Course basketball hoop comes in one recolor per subset of pretending-to-be-historical colors. The floor comes with Maxis white free-throw lines with a clear background, to be "painted" over whatever flooring you choose, while the hoop (and backboard and pole) come in almost-plausible wooden recolors burgled from WFS's Big Barn Kitchen set, with the metal fixtures darkened to resemble iron instead of steel (or powder-coated enameled steel). There is also an OPTIONAL default replacement package for the net using WFS Fisherman... fishnet. Sadly a default is the only way I could get the net itself to recolor-- I tried! Read on! )
