The tricky part about wanting to have exotic destinations like the Far East in a period game is that, even with Bon Voyage giving me Vacation Destinations, I still have to find enough ding-dang stuff to dress, build, furnish, and landscape those destinations. If you ever wonder why I'm so excited about Castaway Stories extractions and expansions, it's because I can just use it. No desperately researching if a piece of custom content is even vaguely appropriate using terms that are tricky to google for-- provided the creator put anything useful in their catalog description or tooltips.

8kSims Hinoki-Buro bath comes in 20 Pooklet Project Mayhem naturals run over a blend of Piggi's Wood 03 and the original textures. Importantly, this is a no-EP bathtub, meaning you can't wash your dog in it.

Is this mesh historically accurate?

... You know, I have no idea. A hinoki-buro is a wooden bathtub traditionally made of cypress (hinoki)-- originally imported Taiwanese red cypress, because it handled water better, but that's a protected species now so hinoki-makers make do. There's nothing about this bathtub that denotes a technological era to me; it's flat panes of wood, no faucets or drains or anything, but Google refused to help me find any history of the hinoki-buro besides one woodworking business's history.

I am also pretty darned sure it wouldn't be stained, but if that were going to stop me from applying Pooklet Naturals to wood textures it would've stopped me in 2010. The actual woods used in actual hinoki-buro seem light and slightly reddish, so if you're going for reality-accuracy, Comburent, Incendiary, and Pyrotechnic are probably the most realistic options.

The tub does have a dirty state, and as there is always a little bit of standing water in there, I tried to make sure it was a good dirty state.

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. I don't do pay content and I can't seem to get requests done in a timely fashion, so donors get a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery (you help feed my cats, you get to see lots and lots of pictures of my cats) and my to-do list Google doc, in case there's anything on there that makes a donor go 'oooh, when are you working on that one?'
