Uh, okay, so, usually there's a big content dump from me on or around January 6th, because it suits my brand of nerdery. Despite me technically having my game back in order... I am not making Epiphany this year.

Long story short, 2021 played in fast-forward and it was New Year's Eve before I realized I hadn't even set up a testerhood for preview pics, so there will be new content someday, but... not on the sixth.

This fall/winter, it feels like every time I turn around, another month is almost over and I'm going 'oh crap my bills are due!' (Not that I've been struggling to pay them, just struggling with 'what do you MEAN it's the 27th everything's due by the 31st it was the 15th yesterday!'

It was legitimately Christmas before I said to myself, "Huh, I should get some stuff ready to post on the sixth."

And then I realized I didn't even have a testerhood set up.

(Then, of course, I went "What do you mean it's the 27th my bills are due on the 31st!")

Back in October, I did get my game reinstalled and patched and empty-templated and lighting-modded and such... and then all I did was pull twelve-hour shifts in Body Shop all month long, running color actions as though my life depended on it, and I only stopped because a) the Sim-Ages Medieval Fantasy gown has turned out to be too boobtacular for the way I want to make Burgundian gowns (not to mention the broken bump map) and b) the cross-less Friar Tuck With Poulaines meshes have three groups (plus sometimes bump maps) and I got all sulky because three groups instead of one (or even two) would throw off my texture-copy-pasting groove.

But the way I set things up, for Body Shop loading times is, I keep two EA Games folders and just slap an extra label on the one I'm not using, so I have one EA Games folder that's got everything in it, and one that just has Body Shop content. Because why would I slow Body Shop's loading with neighborhood decor, or my two solid gigs of Sun & Moon stuff? And as I was so distracted by top-only tunics and underwear separates and realizing I could edit BINX sortindex numbers on my saved Sims, too, I got a little distracted and didn't actually generate the second EA Games folder.

Whoops.

On New Year's Eve, I finally sat down and installed all my old content! And I installed a lot of new content! And I went through and organized it (because I have weird rules about what goes where)! And I realized I installed the wrong irfanview (the 32-bit version will take screenshots of Body Shop but not Sims 2)! And then I did it again because the right Irfanview (64) was not installed where I thought it was! And I finally have a proper testerhood sort of! I had to restart my game three times because I kept forgetting to install my frickin' lots!

So... yeah, my testerhood has a photo backdrop lot, no Sims, CAS is running slow like it's on the jewelry tab at all times CAS needed me to set shadows to half-power which took WAY too long to figure out, and I'm still trying to figure out what I did backwards with my modular stairs because I'm not getting descriptions on my custom ones and not even a pic on what's probably Marvine's rock stairs. (Current best guess: My backup of the modularstairs.text script was actually outdated for the stairs I have.)

So yeah.

There WILL be content.

I just don't know when.

Soon?

But barring me suddenly developing the ability to stop time or move at super-speed, not on the sixth.

Sounds exciting! I look forward to it whenever it all comes, sounds like you've been busy. I also now have 2 game folders, but that's for two different styles of play. I end up just taking out all my build/buy folders etc whenever I want to go in bodyshop or just CAS ☺️
