Man, just when I think my sinuses are letting up, the weather changes and they're back. Luckily it's only the sneezing and nose-blowing kind, rather than the 'why does it feel like there's an icepick in my ear?' kind. I can still think when it's just sneezy.

Sinus trouble sucks huh. I've basically had a cold for 6 years now, stupid chronic sinusitis + dust allergy ... I can relate to how you feel.

That list sounds pretty good if you ask me. I'll be waiting for the tropical defaults, plantsim mod, invisible recolours, Wagon rut roads and especially the werewolf default!

I have a sinus thing where basically, I'm a barometer. The air pressure or humidity changes and bam, my sinus reacts somehow. The sniffles don't bother me so much as when it's all pressure... and that wouldn't bother me as much, except that it's started making my teeth and jaw and ear hurt. (Serious jaw pain is not something that should clear up once your decongestant kicks in.)

The only trouble with the werewolf default is that I REALLY have to be in the mood to sit there and erase and fade and muck around with furry bits. I mean, I always understood why there are so few werewolf defaults out there compared to, say, alien defaults...

Wagon rut roads are nearly done, actually! I gotta take one more picture and then do the whole read-me thing. Which I'll probably do today after some spring cleaning, also known as "... It's been HOW long since I vacuumed the bedroom?"

Aah, I don't personally have sinus issues but I always hate it when I get sinus colds, so I can imagine how you must feel.

Eeeee, I'm eagerly awaiting the werewolf default!
I never did end up getting my attempt to work properly, so now the files are just rotting in my project folder in case I get the urge to try again one day.
Also, FUCK YES TROPICAL DEFAULTS. I have an unhealthy obsession with beachy tropical things. 8D

Right now it's only the sniffles, which I can deal with. I go through a lot of kleenex, but I can deal with it. The weather changed suddenly. Stupid spring.

I know, I was so sad your werewolf default didn't work out! I finally decided to take a shot at it. They're not nearly as edited as my plantsims, but I lightened the hair on the chest and stomach, a little over the forehead and mouth, and I've been working on the feet-- toes will show. I just gotta get in the mood to FINISH it.

So far I have the beach bucket and shovel done! Actually I may change the reflectivity of the bucket; I was going for wood and it's kinda shiny. I've also discovered that massage oil and sunscreen use the same texture. I'll warn you, I'm only really going for Medieval-ish tropical defaults (which of course will probably work with other themes, too, or just ditching the bright plastic), but if anyone wants to take my defaults and give them a proper Castaway feel, I heartily support that in all ways.

I can't wait to see the skin, it sounds like it's gonna look really good.

Oh yay, I just got BV so I can actually use those defaults. I'm a little late to the party on that ep, which is weird because I'm such a beach nut. Anyway, I can't wait to see these defaults either. :)

Ah the joys of sinus problems! I can relate somewhat as I have seasonal allergies and have developed food allergies as well recently. My allergist this week gave me this water bottle type thingy that you use on the nose to help clear sinus problems. I was sceptical that it would work (have to go in for allergy testing so no antihistames of any sort until the test) but so far so good. My sinus is clear and I can breathe! I might not even need to take as many meds if it keeps going this way. It is called a sinus rinse, you might like to give it a go if you haven't already.

I think I've heard of those-- you use something called a neti pot? Maybe? I can't remember if that's the right name anymore.

I've got Ingeli's recolors of the marriage of convenience arch-- what I've done is a completely invisible recolor. The wooden lattice arches just don't quite go with a lot of decorating styles... and since my Sims are supposed to get married in places like this...



... Yeah. Gotta have the invisible version.

Aye something like the neti pot but this one is plain plastic and easier to use. One I have is called a Neilmed Sinus rinse.

I don't have any chapels yet although I can see how the invisible works so much better. Absolutely love the one you made though, looks fabulous. My town is rather poor and only have this flimsy mini garden chapel :)

Yeah, Dreamwidth uses HTML code rather than BBS code-- to make an image show up, you need to use pointy brackets instead of square, so it looks like < img src="http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c366/Issipham/Screenshot.jpg" > And if you take the spaces out, it'll look like this:



It's a cute little spot, though! I have... about half a religious system in place-- that cathedral, an abbey, and a ridiculous number of cemeteries live in my main 'hood, I have a chapel for my University, and I have missions (chapel plus dinky, dinky rooms) for my vacation 'hoods. I needed some cheap hotels. Now I just need to get my mythology straight...

I knew I was doing something wrong, good to know for future reference.

My game is still fairly new since I started new a few weeks ago. I'm trying to make it harder this time round and want them to build everything from scratch which is why I don't have much in the 'hood yet. Hopefully mine will be as lavish as yours someday, although I'm nearly nowhere as talented :)

Since your pic didn't even turn into a link, you might not be able to embed pictures if you're posting anonymously on Dreamwidth-- I know it works that way on LiveJournal. Just realized that.

My 'hood is barely even started. I'm still in the testerhood phase-- I keep changing enough stuff that I want to make sure it all works right before I jump right into my 'real' neighborhood. ... Well, that and I keep adding skin sets hoping to fill a couple of significant gaps in my genetic spectrum, and I want to re-make my founders once I plug up some of the holes between S2 and S3.

Your lots always look so good. The only community lots I've worked on so far are changing downloaded lots into reasonable markets. I probably won't do a chapel, but it would be very cool to have an invisible wedding arch! I am on a Mac so only have up to Bon Voyage, if you ever need a tester for anything!

Thanks for the link for the arch. I have all of your default replacements in my medieval neighborhood, I haven't actively tested them all out, but so far so good. I will probably be adding them to my Space Colony neighborhood as well, since the idea there is that it's a brand new colony and they are using natural things as much as possible! The homework looks beautiful and I might use your replacement trash bag in all my neighborhoods, I like seeing it so much more than the Maxis one!
