Okay, remember how I said I had a week before my brother installed his girlfriend into my home office, with the Simming computer (and also, the coolest upstairs room in the summer)? It turns out I had THREE DAYS, because instead of coming up for one local even Father's Day weekend, they came up for TWO local events; this past weekend AND the weekend before. And they stayed the whole time, deciding not to go home between events. I had exactly enough time to get everything vacuumed and dusted and aired before they got here.

Yes, my brother's entitlement effectively forced me out of work as well as Simming for damn near two weeks because of a failure to communicate (on his end) and his girlfriend's decision that it wasn't worth her time to drive home between events.

They leave tomorrow; I should be back to normal Wednesday, and if my patience does not fail me I'm hoping to at least get nun habits up by the weekend. I probably could've gotten them up sooner, but like an idiot I forgot to put them on the backup drive. Go me! *facepalm*

... I got a lot of dusting done in the bedroom, anyway. And my cat has been refusing to let me out of her sight, which is always amusing. And I finally got a couple smallish doll-based projects finished that I've been meaning to get around to for months.

For those of you who are only here for Sims, I won't hold not clicking the cut against you. I'm not even interested in what's behind the cut, it's just enough of an obstacle that it needs mentioning. Long story short, instead of four or five days with my home office (where the Simming computer lives) full of Guest, it's been eleven days and will be twelve before I get it back again. Possible nun-based goodies by the weekend if Guest-based departure goes smoothly and on time.

So this is four days after you've posted this, but ... you're ok now, right, Hat? I know how annoying sibs can be. Luckily I'm not in a position where mine can show up and take over my personal space whenever he feels like it, but I feel your pain.

But in other news, I can't wait to see what you have for us for nunly stuff! :)

Oh yes, life is better now. They left Tuesday afternoon, I aired out and febreezed and vacuumed the office, watered the plants, scrubbed my bathroom, played with my cat, talked to my sister for the first time in two weeks, had a long, long bubble bath, and then Wednesday Mom and I went out for dinner because a) we hadn't murdered anyone at all and b) we pretty much only had one egg left in the fridge. Yesterday we ran errands, this weekend we do a Costco run, but today I SIT ON MY BUTT in front of my nice lovely desktop computer in my freshly-vacuumed home office.

Nuns should be soon! Files are done, swatches and Body Shop pics are done. I need to take a header shot in-game and get everything organized and uploaded. (They're pretty simple textures, though.)
