hat_plays_sims: All I did was crop-- go read Bite Me by Dylan Meconis, you'll laugh. (Why am I ALWAYS the dark seductress?)

Ah, the joys of having stuff sitting on my hard drive and not quite having the gumption to upload any BIG sets just yet. So, hey, here's a small one!

"I don't want to achieve immortality through my work; I want to achieve immortality through not dying."

I've been collecting art from the 1400s and earlier for this project for a while now. Oh, sure, I could just fling them into the custom paintings folder, but I was so tired of the little hot pink woman in the bright green minidress and the incredibly annoying chunk of ugh titled Clown Romance. Those are not Medieval works and just plain weren't appropriate to my game.

So I switched 'em.

I nabbed my templates for these from SaraMK over on MTS, and the pic of the original paintings in the zip file is her work, too, not mine.

These are ridiculously high-definition, most in the 1024x1024 size. I spent way too long looking for good big paintings with the right proportions to let them get all fuzzy and pixellated, even if I did have to skew them to get them onto the easels properly.

This is indeed a default replacement, so as usual, there can be only one-- if you have any other painting defaults, you'll have to remove them to add these.

Each default is separate, so if you decide you'd rather keep the abstract Apple and Orange but get rid of Wannabe Picasso, just leave out the appropriately labeled file.

I own pretty much nothing here, and I'd be surprised if any of these paintings are still under copyright... but as usual I'm going to say do what you want as long as you don't use these for paysites, donation files, or to put anywhere near TSR. Why? Because they're defaults, and I get all weird about asking for money for default replacements. Also I get weird about asking for money for EAxis extractions or age conversions. At least break copyright law with some original work... or build your own dang templates.

Which painting replaces what?

That's how it lines up. (Please note those numbers are not the numbers of the files. No, I don't get it either, but I didn't change it. Just match the names, instead-- John the Baptist is 'beheaded,' for the record.)

Enough babble.

Oooh, painting defaults. I like them, they'll add yet another lovely touch of properly-medieval-ness to my medieval neighborhood. Also it means never having to see those horrifying clowns again, which is even better, if you ask me.

I reply myself, yes... I have thought a bit and, can I use the same method I use for skintones? I mean, using yours as templates and simply replace the textures with Simpe??

Thank you so much! And excellent quality, too. Yes, this is just a thank-you comment.. I was desperate for a proper medieval painting default set. So thank you!

Ooh, nice, thanks!

Looks like they trained you hard in Medieval times. Even the low creativity paintings are masterpieces. XD
