Man, so I just feel stupid and sheepish posting this, but it's way past time to post this.

This is just a little note to say I'm not dead, am in fact in good health, my computer is functioning, and I haven't lost interest in Sims 2-- and I'm so, so sorry if people have worried about me.

I have several excuses for the radio silence (RL kicking my butt a little, sudden surge in interest in my physical doll collection taking up time I could be giving to my virtual doll collection, my father's health, I got a new vacuum and it works so much better than the old vacuum that I get more excited about cleaning house than playing with anything), but they're stupid excuses and I should've put up some kind of notice WAY before now. (After a certain point, I felt like I shouldn't even acknowledge I was gone until I had something wicked awesome all finished to share. I still kind of feel like that, but I feel worse for letting it go this long, so all you get is this crappy note. Probably when I'm REALLY back, I'll have something awesome to share.)

I've been vaguely trying to keep up with comments, but unless someone is about to blow up their game, my brain keeps going "Yeah, I'll get to that in a little while..." My brain never gets to that. Things linger. I procrastinate, I guilt, I procrastinate because I feel guilty.

So basically... I will be back, I don't know just when, I'm okay, I'm sorry, and I'm not looking forward to the GoS and Plumb Bob Keep backlog I need to read through (except I kind of am looking forward to getting everything I've missed all in one big go).

*facepalms* I'll admit I felt bad about making people worry. And felt like I oughta have something nice to come back with. But I didn't have any gumption to make anything (still gearing up to that, in fact), so I put off making an announcement.

And you see where that got me.

So I'm starting slow and lurking and catching up with comments and whatnot.

Yep, I'm still alive and inching back and trying to catch up with comments-- and I know I've got a couple PMs from you I need to look at (and boy howdy do I feel guilty about not getting to those sooner! The 'guilty' thing is hard to stop).

I really don't think you need to feel guilty. It's a game and it's meant to be fun. It shouldn't feel like a job or a chore.

I can't imagine you moving away from Sims 2 with all the hard work you've been doing.

It's not the game I felt guilty about but the people. I have this weird horror of embarrassing myself in front of people, and so naturally I manage to do it with some regularity.

I never really permanently move away from anything, but my hobbies go in cycles. Sometimes all I'll want to do will be play Sims, or mess with my doll collection (which has several sub-hobbies), or re-organize the kitchen, or fiddle with miniatures, or RP, or play Katamari Damacy until my thumbs are blistered... (Sims is easiest to stick with for a long time, as they're kind of like a doll collection with their own kitchens to organize.)

Silly thing! Don't feel guilty, you don't owe anything from being gone! It's quite good enough to know that everything is fine.

So you probably do not know me, but as an interested reader, I'm glad to hear from you. I'm glad you are okay. The circle of not getting around to things and getting distracted by other things sounds very familiar, so I'll just wish you lots of fun cleaning house (enjoy it while you can!) and we'll know when you return properly :)

I'll be glad to be around, though I may not be as active. Mostly I've been just trying to catch up and keep caught up, reply to comments on DW, and weed through my game (I'm learning stuff! That's always exciting. I'm learning I'm going to delete any wallpaper that requires me to tile two or more walls together to properly cover a room, for one thing.)

It was on sale at Target for eighty bucks! (Granted, the excitement to clean comes from being able to properly clean, but I kind of like cleaning, as long as I'm cleaning somewhere I know nobody's going to come along behind me and mess up again right afterward.)

I've been keeping up with Albion and will someday comment again! Promise!

Oh man, the new vacuum is awesome. Mostly because it works (the old one, the brush had stopped spinning, so only the hose attachment worked). It takes being used to slightly dirty carpet to appreciate freshly-vacuumed carpet, let me tell you internets.

Our cats are Maine coon mixes-- very much like a Norwegian forest cat, great big longhaired conversationalists. (Seriously, Other Brother weighs twenty pounds and that's his ideal weight.) I am familiar with the shedding, especially since our weather has been swinging from cool to warm to raining to hot this summer-- they've been blowing coat.

Glad you're OK! I was getting worried there, but then again, RL has been kicking me in the butt too, and will be even more when I start school. (Old fogey going back to school do do what I should have done 10 years ago!)

Since you've been away I've finally gotten a copy of Photoshop and have been pookleting 'till my hearts content! I haven't done any on your list, seeing that you may have already started them and/or you have a certain way you may like them binned/familied, also didn't want to step onto your toes! I have a thread at the Keep and if you want me to help I'd love to! (But I'm only good at the actual pookleting right now... not so great at the texturing... well, to an extent it's easy, but using anything like the warp tools... yeah, not so good at!)

I'd love it if you'd show off some of your RL dolls! I love them and would still love to get one, if you made a mermaid one!
