hat_plays_sims: All I did was crop-- go read Bite Me by Dylan Meconis, you'll laugh. (Default)
This is not breaking my "No making Sims 2 stuff in August" rule. No, I made all these in July, and I needed a break from sewing (white lace dresses sell, but they are BORING to make and it wasn't what I wanted to do with those pieces so I'm sulky), so I said to myself, I said, "I'll make swatches and post a hair dump."

Yup okay, so. Twenty-one hairs, boilerplate goes outside like so:

Dude, twenty-one hairs. Image heavy behind the cut, yo.

Updated with a header and Sims File Share links as of May 25 2022!

NO PAYSITES. I use Pooklet's color actions, Pooklet says no paysites, so no paysites.

Meshes are included except where noted; yes, it is inconvenient that HP requires you to trot your butt over to MTS to grab her meshes, but hey. What can you do?

Swatches are included in the zip files.

Everything is always compressorized.

Poly Counts: I have no idea. I assume that HP is low, Rose is reasonable, the lone Peggy hair is probably high, and I don't know what SAU and Raon have reputations for.

Hairs are binned like so:
Dynamite-Depth Charge-Incendiary-Explosive-Pipe Bomb
Shrapnel-Safety Fuse-Volatile-Pyrotechnic-Smoke Bomb (hombrewed)
Land Mine-Fission-Grenade-Comburent-Mail Bomb
Flash Powder-Brisance-Primer-Molotov-Time Bomb
You also get a bonus all-ages Time Bomb as a custom.

If you hate my binning, change it. If you want the neons, do them. Feel totally free.

PLEASE feel free to also change the filenames on these folders. Or on the files themselves. They are ludicrously long because it's easier to shorten something too long than go "Okay, so WHOSE Rose D069 Volatile is this?" I don't even keep them that long in my own game. As a matter of fact, if you subfolder these too deeply, you'll hit the character limit and they won't show up. (If, however, your subfolders go Downloads > Genetics Hair > Hat's Ludicrously Long Folder Name, it will still work.)

Thanks go to Pooklet for her actions and assorted textures, to Lyn for making sure I had a working copy of Photoshop, to Rose, Raon, Hysterical Paroxysm, Peggy, Sim Artists' Union, and Tiggerypum for their meshes, to FantasyRogue for nipping the butterfly off of Rose Donate 041, to Bosie and Aikea Guinea for FtM conversions, and to Io, Ja, Bosie, HP, Alfred Askew, Stakeit UK, Rainkius, Rose, Cavilez, Cutthroat Dollie Destroyable, and FantasyRogue for textures I have used in full or in part.

Wanna help me feed my cats?

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. Donors get two things at the moment: a) a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery, full of pictures of the cats you'll be feeding, updated sporadically when the cats do something photogenic and I'm fast enough on the trigger to catch it, and b) a link to the list of content I have done-but-not-screencapped, nearly done, partly done, or in the planning stages, and the option to suggest what ought to be in the next batch of things I focus on.

But you're just here for the hair. )

My policy, unless otherwise noted, is 'do whatever you want as long as you credit everyone whose work is involved and don't break their policies.' Usually, someone whose meshes, textures, actions, coding, or templates I've used has 'no paysites' somewhere in their policy, so it's probably a good idea to assume, well, no paysites.
