Pregmorph Addition Alert!

Cynnix, the brilliant, generous, and lovely, has made pregmorphs for more pregmorphless meshes! Here you can find morphs for Aligeth's EF chemise (no, I haven't found an elder pregnancy mod, but it's a comfy nightie, exactly what you might want to wear while waddling around pregnant), Gelydh's bloomers (meshes, page five), All About Style's TF Victorian Sleeve dress and teen bloomers, and Parsimonious's teen rengown. Rejoice, players who use InTeen for period games! Rejoice, players who like their ladies' nightgowns to look comfortable and bra-free! Cynnix provides for us! All hail Cynnix!

And for some TF gowns, for whenever I get brave enough to install inTeen? Double YAAY!

Date: 2010-09-22 01:59 am (UTC)InTeen is not scary! You may have to check your other mods for compatibility, but InTeen is not scary! I use it and enjoy it, although when your first teenager has her first autonomous risky pregnancy, you may go "OH CRAP!"
... Oh also, I've been meaning to ask you if my still-in-testing age duration and ACR mod would be of any interest to you-- I know it's not quite how you handle aging, but it means no fiddling with SimPE.

Date: 2010-09-22 10:45 pm (UTC)I just hesitate because I switched over to ACR 2.0 (and OMG -- it's fantastic, even if it is still "beta"!), and because I don't think I'm in a position to help you test it. Since I don't know for how long I'll end up playing whenever I manage to get in-game, or even what I'll be doing while I'm playing (i.e. building vs. actually, you know, playing), I don't know if I'd be the best choice for helping to test a kind of deep-structure mod like this out.
I know, I know, InTeen's not that scary. But Lothere made some really pretty dresses for pregnant teens -- I'm just waiting (ok, crossing my fingers and hoping) that she updates them to work with the creator's new mesh ... and then I think I'm going to cross my fingers (again) and go for it!

Date: 2010-09-22 10:57 pm (UTC)And where are these dresses? I hoard meshes with pregmorphs, for some reason. *grins*
InTeen is just the bestest thing ever for a period game, in so many ways. I haven't had a miscarriage yet, but I've had more teen pregnancies than you can shake a stick at (although the fairies won't impregnate your teenagers. Once there was a hack that worked that way, but it's not updated for all EPs), and the collegiate family support... oh man. Better to marry than to burn, right? University chapel complete with wedding arch, married students' housing... I do have No Age of Consent and No Adult Teens, because that was stuff I didn't want to mess around with, and I Love Kittens because... well. I do. You do have to make sure a Pregnant Sims Wear Any Outfit mod loads after InTeen, and you may have to change them back into their regular clothes 'on pop,' but that's what the Clothing Tool is for, right? Compatibility with InTeen isn't as big a deal as some modders like to make it out to be-- I have something like 300 mods, including InTeen, and my 20 conflicts are either expected or harmless.

Date: 2010-09-22 11:16 pm (UTC)The dresses in question are here (http://www.lothere.com/where-can-i-get). You'll have to scroll down a bit to find them. And if you aren't reading Lothere, you should be (in your copious free time, of course) -- it's as good as a book, only better, because it has be-yoo-ti-ful pictures and it's completely 100% FREE!
Definitely better to marry than to burn. I have a question, though -- would InTeen allow a Young Adult to marry an Adult or Elder and remain on campus, while the Adult lives in the regular neighborhood? Let's just say that I have some Nefarious Plots in mind ... (No, I'm not going to tell you who they're about. It's a secret! ;) )

Date: 2010-09-22 11:38 pm (UTC)I think I've looked at Lothere and been confuzzled by how to find the beginning. Although from inside that entry, I think I finally found it! I wish there were pictures of the dress, though. (Heck, I wish the teen conversion of Iamliz's alpha dress had a pregmorph, but hey.) I do have the mesh from InTeen, and I stuck some of ZoeJ's textures on it-- which I didn't have to do once I found the default replacements for the base-game meshes.
I... don't know. I think the answer is 'yes, but not by default.' From skimming the InTeen manual, it seems like the adult-or-elder would move in as with a normal marriage. I think you'd either have to do it in roundabout fashion unless you can have the adult-or-elder Find Own Place without breaking up the marriage-- get married, then have someone from the main 'hood move the adult-or-elder back into their own home-- or have them marry when your intended collegiate is still a teen, then ship him-or-her off to Camford-- which does work and doesn't break up the marriage, I know cos that's where Sheila Tester-Models and her husband Servo Models are now. They miss each other. It's possible that if your adult-or-elder initiates the marriage in the main 'hood while your YA is still a student, they'll be married without anyone moving house since your playable YAs will stay enrolled until they graduate, flunk out, or drop out, but the manual doesn't say anything for sure about that situation. I'll have to try it out the next time I start up the game instead of just Body Shop.

Date: 2010-09-23 10:47 pm (UTC)I have a link for an alternative to InTeen. Chris Hatch on BackAlleySims made a pregnancy controller that allows not only teen but elder pregnancy as well. He also has an excellent hospital mod that they can travel to a hospital or use a midwife. http://www.backalleysims.com/adult_forums/showthread.php?t=3274
You need to be registered to view it or download.

Date: 2010-09-24 12:42 am (UTC)... Man, a list of all the meshes I wish had pregmorphs? How long do you have, are you okay with alpha layers, can you default-replace in-game meshes, and do you need a new best friend? *puppyface*

Date: 2010-09-24 11:23 am (UTC)I've got plenty of time! If you make a list I will get baby bumps made for everything I am able to. I'm getting pretty good with alpha layers, some are easier to work with than others though. I haven't made a default replacement but there has to be a tutorial somewhere. I'll look into that today.

Date: 2010-09-29 01:52 pm (UTC)Oh man. You asked for a list, you've got it! I wandered around looking for the source posts for the meshes I use most often-- I'm sure there are others, but these are the 'usual suspects,' so to speak...
Aligeth's Robin Hood and Friends lack pregmorphs all around, but so do Oph3lia's bracer-free Robin and crucifix-free cassock. Also, Aligeth's TF Chemise, AF Chemise, and EM Nightgown. True, elder males can't get pregnant, but the same mesh works fine for adult men.
Iamliz's Alpha-editable medieval gown is a wonderful mesh with a pregmorph for AF-- but the TF version lacks one. Also her Viking Tunic Mesh, for all I have problems picturing a pregnant male Viking.
Jumping straight into The Dark Project and sticking with the meshes that started with that project... Tiggerypum's Renbelted (which I don't believe has a pregmorph for AF but I know lacks a TF one), AM short alpha tunic with boots, AF and TF Layered Medieval, and AM Renshirt.
Cocomama has a BUNCH of meshes that are terribly useful, including Men in Tights, TF togas (although I've never used them), TF Plantsims (just because they can't BE plantsims doesn't mean they can't dress like it), the Gothic Dress conversion here (which isn't exactly period, but it is awful cute), the "Ancient" formals, the Classic Long Dresses, the short basegame nightgown conversion, the hanbok conversion, I can think of uses (not necessarily Medieval uses) for the TF Pirate conversion, of course the AF and TF fur-trimmed and fur coats (although I only ever use the full-length ones).
Zipping over to Midsimmer Night's Dream, there is of course Tig's AM Tunic Pants, which is widespread even though I hate it and try not to use it (painting boots onto slacks does not make leggings. Katishi's leggings might improve it the way they so greatly improve that one tunic you fixed for me, but we're talking pregmorphs).
And just wandering around MTS, Mio's Romeo and Juliet, Lunar Eclipse's Count D Robe (available there without the sim), Kaitshi's Tudor Dress and Medieval gown, and Besen's TF trained gown.
And as if that wasn't enough, there's also All about Style-- here's the mesh section, where the coveted pregmorphless outfits are...
FAvicSleeve (page 3)
MAnightshirt (page 3, although I'm not REALLY fond of it since it seems to have the fatmorph sunken chest all the time)
MAmedieval (page 3, despite chicken legs)
FTregency (page 4)
FAvicempiredress (page 8)
Parsimonious has a few things in their mesh section that could use a bump-- specifically mesh_k8parsmaccourtier140206 (which could also use the legs slimmed down somehow, for all I love the shoes) and mesh_k8parsfafrengown020905 (says it has one, but I've never seen it).
If you don't mind breaking freesite policies a little bit, Gara's Medieval male mesh (GR_Modm01bodyMESH060216, which you can find under Meshes > Male > Everyday and Swimwear or Meshes > Gara Mesh > Page 2), but I won't ask you to do that, just point out that it lacks a pregmorph.
The only other thing I can think of offhand is that Besen's AM_shortunica on Sims Graveyard, Tommytiger's Link Tunic, and Enblith's Maelstrom Surcoat could get the same treatment as the shorttunica_normalsleeves mesh-- legs and all.

Date: 2010-10-01 06:26 am (UTC)I'll try to contact Gara about editing the mesh. Usually if asked nicely a creator will give permission to edit.
I'm downloading all of these now and I'll get them done by creator. Soon we'll have baby bumps everywhere!

Date: 2010-10-01 06:31 am (UTC)Thank you so incredibly much! Yay for pregmorphs, I say, especially for weird meshes! You're totally getting an in-game sainthood for all this.

Date: 2010-10-07 01:17 pm (UTC)I'm halfway through the Aligeth set, I hope to have those completed this weekend. I think I would enjoy being an in-game saint, do I get a feast day?

Date: 2010-10-07 06:45 pm (UTC)I'm all excited-- Aligeth's meshes are some of my favorites, but the lack of a pregmorph cuts down on their versatility. Thank you so much!
