Wanna help me feed my cats?

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. Donors get two things at the moment: a) a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery, full of pictures of the cats you'll be feeding, updated sporadically when the cats do something photogenic and I'm fast enough on the trigger to catch it, and b) a link to the list of content I have done-but-not-screencapped, nearly done, partly done, or in the planning stages, and the option to suggest what ought to be in the next batch of things I focus on.

Photoshop actions. Photoshop actions for cropping exactly the same way every time. That's how. Retexturing the hairs themselves actually takes more ingenuity and is thus more fun.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Girl Genius! You're welcome for the link-- it's the third webcomic link I've used at Garden of Shadows. I know fans, if not the Foglios themselves, have been considering Team Tarvek and Team Gil T-shirts as kind of an ironic... thing... and I can't help but notice that Agatha's hair color is pretty much Comburent...

Honestly? I kinda miss Lars. He was just a nice decent young man, completely lacking in crazy, powerful relatives. And I'm mostly just along for the plot-- I suspect she'll end up with Gil, but I also suspect this is one of those stories where you have to pair the spare... and a viable non-Agatha interest for Tarvek hasn't turned up yet. So who knows!

I don't even know what mesh you'd start with for that dress-- it's more than a bit involved! And Phil Foglio doesn't give faces too much definition (I think so he can go more extreme on expressions), so really, she could look almost however you liked in terms of face structure...

Thought I might mention it, that peggy hair (Juice 0061, the first one posted). I fixed the mesh for that and posted it a few months ago on my LJ. I wasn't sure you're aware of it or not. (I felt the original animations were... weird.. plus assorted random issues).

It's been a while since I did the mesh edit, but as I recall, it is rather .. bouncy... I don't think it dived through the sim or anything. I'm nitpicky, I will admit.

Lars was a genuinely nice guy. I prefer Gil to Tarvek, mainly because he hasn't managed to get Agatha possessed by her evil mother, but I'd still like to drop kick the pair of them off the castle walls a couple of times.

Hmm, I suppose that's true... perhaps if I find a suitable hairstyle I'll have a go at her sometime.

Well, now, to be fair, that wasn't Tarvek so much as Vrin... Tarvek just rolled with the punches and tried to play Lucrezia as well as everybody else. But the boys do squabble a fair bit, don't they? (Wanna know who I miss? Maxim. I wonder how Zola was planning to fool the Jaegers.)

I'm sure there's a good hairstyle for Agatha around-- she's got the big sweepy bangs I try to avoid for Medieval stuff because they're not period, but... well, on her, they work.

Bite Me is such a fun comic. The artist is doing one now that focuses on Luther, if you're interested.

Mine usually consists of stacks of random CDs (games, mostly). A sketchbook, pencils, pens. Currently a book called "Anatomy for the artist". Random stuff like that :P

I've read it, not sure what to think about it yet. Too early in the story to tell, perhaps. Bite Me was fun, yes :)

*nods* That's true. Although she's really improved at historical costumes since Bite Me... but Bite Me wasn't too serious about period accuracy in a lot of ways. Just enough for it to be really important to the overall screwball comedy going on.

Yes, I totally may have a need for this Statler and Waldorf button, a battery of which I'm not sure whether it' s charged or not and this paintbrush (of the house painting variety, not artistic painting).

Oh yes, the costuming and the art in general looks very, very nice in the new one (not that Bite Me was bad on that front, but you can tell it's older).

Paintbrushes can be useful for dusting! I have... a stack of silicone bowls, a McDonald's sweet and sour sauce, a stone-or-bone bead carved like a unicorn horn, a little container full of cherry pits (because I have this problem with throwing seeds away, I dunno) and... okay, the rest is probably work-related.

The design of clothing in Bite Me is actually pretty good (although I'm not sure about Lucien's doublet, but I think the conclusion you're supposed to get from that is 'fencing outfit') but Dylan tended to keep the skirts indecently short, I suspect out of a love of drawing boots. For which I can't really blame her. Boots are awesome.

Dusting is actually why it's on my desk. You could always plant the seeds and get your own orchard. If it were up to my husband, they'd already be sitting in little pots (we usually have young plants around somewhere. For example, he tried to grow a chestnut he found once, it actually took too and turned into a nice little plant.. until we moved). Not sure why you'd keep sweet and sour sauce around on your desk though :P

Agreed, boots are pretty damn awesome. It reminds me that I still need to finish those victorian boots I was trying to mesh (too many projects, too little time or desire).

I'm running out of pots. My African Violets and polka-dot plant are doing obscenely well, I've started some spider plants that need bigger pots (I have no bigger pots!), and my ivy is still kind of recovering from a spider mite infestation. That always killed my sweetheart roses, so I stopped trying to keep those. (Also I have a big ol' blob of alyssum that would probably be prettier outside, but...) I think I had the other packet of sauce with some shrimp and rice once, and didn't manage to use both.
