So I was talking with Morgaine about my Plantsim skin, and I said I'd been thinking about doing some hair to match it. She said something to the effect of "If you could use some different leaves, that would be great!"
Now, having looked at how they're put together, I said, "... Yeah. I could do that." They don't quite MATCH or anything, but I got tired of looking at leaves.

I talk to the trees...
So! Man oh man, do I ever love plantsims. I've done the skintone and I've done the Ideals, and I've got them modded all to heck and back... but I haven't ever really done much in the way of plantsim hair. No one does, really, it's a silly mesh, but I got to wondering about the alpha.
Turns out it's mighty fun to play with.

Linden leaves! I liked the shape, and the color was nice and bright but still a bit softer than the original Plantsim green. Playing with long stems and having some leaves stick out a little farther was fun. (Model is my Chrysanthemum Ideal.)

But of course every fresh state needs a dry state. (Model is-- hey!-- Linden, again from my Ideal set.)

And of course I didn't forget the toddlers. I went for something less flowery than usual on these-- I actually like it better with leaves.

And a bit of detail from the back, so you can see how the non-wobbly leaves are arranged.

And sometimes the dry state is particularly pretty, as with these oak leaves-- this right here was the fun alpha, I'll say that right now. (Yet another Ideal, this time Primrose, who I love ridiculously.)

Course you saw the fresh oak leaves in the title card, but here they are again on Sequoia (yes, yes, Ideal, Ideal).

And on his alien twins, Aster and Elsewise (who may no longer exist, since my game crashed. Dunno if I'll luck out and get twins again). I particularly like the oak leaves on the toddlers. Dunno why.

Oaky detail!
Boilerplate time!
Plantsims come with Seasons, so... you'll need seasons. You may need Apartment Life, Mansion and Garden, or the Sims 2 Store Edition for multibinned hairs, but for some reason I doubt it. (If you try it and find you do, please let me know.)
Um yeah, so I don't own leaves. Please do feel free to recolor these bad boys however you see fit-- skip the paysites, they chafe my sensibilities, especially with the default versions. There are credits, but they come a little later (keep reading, there are more pics, too).
But here's the fun part!
There are three versions of each hair; Custom, Default, and Multibin. Custom lands in your custom bin, with the Time Bombs and the neons. Multibin has the advantage of turning up, non-townie-friendly, in every color bin-- which means you can have fresh leaves with your daywear and autumn leaves with your outerwear and an actual hairstyle with your formalwear, if you so choose. They do NOT show up in Body Shop, and you can only have one version (well, one for each leaf-type. You can totally have oak and linden, just not custom oak and multibinned oak). Choose wisely.
Default is, hey. A default replacement. You know what that is. And you know that there can be only one.
Neither multibinned nor custom hairs will change color when your plantsims start to wilt. This seems like a silly warning, but I thought it was worth mentioning. ONLY default hair will react when your plantsims' needs drop stupidlow.

But wait there's more!
See, okay. Skittledboxes (her MTS name is Sausage, so my file names are a little confused) did this great slightly desaturated version of the regular Seasons plantsim hair here, which... actually, I really like a lot.
So I did custom and multibin versions of that, too, a while back. I figured, "Well, I'm sharing my new ones, why not share these?"

Fresh, on Chrysanthemum

Dry, on Linden.
And because it only made sense (at the time) to have the Skittledsausage and the regular EAxis leafy hair... more sharing:

Fresh, on Primrose

Dry, on Sequoia
No, I did not do default versions of these. If you like the Skittledboxes version, you can get that default on MTS; why would I do defaults of the EAxis defaults? (None of these have unique toddler states; it's all the flowery hats you're used to.)
Once again, you can choose multibin OR custom, but not both.

This set would not have been possible at all without Treeag's Unlocked Plantsim Hair (hey, wait, if that exists, why the EAxis customs? Easy, mine are safe to delete in-game). I also heartily recommend Poifectly Poiple's No More Leafy Plantsim Hair, which, with a bit of planning, allows your plantsims to have the same sort of hairstyle differences as any other Seasons-or-higher Sim.
Wanna help me feed my cats?
In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. Donors get two things at the moment: a) a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery, full of pictures of the cats you'll be feeding, updated sporadically when the cats do something photogenic and I'm fast enough on the trigger to catch it, and b) a link to the list of content I have done-but-not-screencapped, nearly done, partly done, or in the planning stages, and the option to suggest what ought to be in the next batch of things I focus on.
