Bottom-Only Booted Chausses

So these are! FantasyRogue's chausses, with Yuxi's Beth Dragon Age boots added by Kalynn, and converted to Child by Charity, with the boots snugged up against the leg by Simborg. They are super repositoried because it was highly convenient; the chausses-with-boots have two groups, the chausses and the boots, and hey! the chausses are mapped exactly the same as FR's originals... and thus the same as my big ol' 82-pack.




And they look like this, or sort of-- this is an older pic, from before Simborg tailored the boots to fit a Maxis leg a bit more nicely. As you can see, you've got 'em for most of the ages that can easily wear separates-- no EM, because either there wasn't one or because none of the tunics I'd put over these suffer for being YAEM, at least in my opinion, but hey! If you know where to find one or want to convert 'em, the texture-referencing information is included with the TXTR bundles.

They're a little soft, but the point is more... shoe variation, because as Jimmy the Welsh Viking has said, men's clothing in the Western world has tended to be variations on a theme: Cover the legs with tubes, the top with a shirt and something over the shirt, put on shoes, done. After that you can go outside and get to work.

But shoes are make-or-break for Medieval clothing, especially men's Medieval clothing, because paired with hose (chausses, hosen, tights), they're so very visible. And it's nice to have something properly Medieval that's a little different from FantasyRogue's poulaines. Which are great! I love them! But they're not for many sporting activities, you'd lose them, and for winter you'd want... well, boots or pattens or both.

These are categorized for Casual, Formal, Gym, and Outerwear, so you have plenty of places to wear your new boots.



Boots detail! It amuses me a little bit how the feet kinda pronate. It looks fine in action, it just amuses me. Poor Dragon Age characters who originally wore these boots, they need better arch support.

Ahem. Before I start tossing out download links, remember these are texture-referenced-- not just to my original Fantasy Rogue chausses in all these colors, but since the boots are on a separate group and I only managed to designate eleven colors for "leathers," there is ALSO a boot-texture source file that you MUST KEEP. You will get textureless boots otherwise. Instead of putting it in its own download, I put it with EVERYTHING. You only need to keep one copy but I figured-- Okay so, two textures per file, that's 164 textures for one age group, but there are three age groups so that's 492 full-sized textures. By linking the booted chausses to the Rogue's Gallery chausses, the number of textures in these recolors dropped to 246; by texture-referencing all the same-colored boots together, the number of unique (you already have Rogue's Gallery, right?) texture files required for all 246 recolor files here?

Drops to eleven.

It seemed. It seemed really silly NOT to do that, you know? Extra steps for me, but I was taking extra steps anyway by referencing the original chausses, and at minimum I would've referenced the three ages together... so. I did it this way.

So for how to get the source textures, you have two options:

1. Download my Rogues' Gallery YAEM chausses and sort out which colors you want to keep

or

2. Download the handy-dandy Skell-style texture .packages, which are separated by action family. (Project Mayhem Naturals, Autumn, Any Color You Like.)
