I've been meaning to get this one up for a while now, and what better time than while I'm waiting to see if my Blind Date will share their goodies?

A little hard work never hurt anyone.
-- Everyone's Mother

Dresses with aprons have been on my to-do list for ages, because I've got a load of cross-class stuff, but nothing much that screams 'peasant.' I was inspired by Matilda La Zouche, who was in turn inspired by the Luttrell Psalter, and now I have something that works beautifully (if ever so slightly pointlessly) as a bottom-only dress.

Well. Sort of pointlessly.

As with my wide-laced kirtles, the underside and stockings have been left blank, so the shift and hose from your top show through. If you use my placket shifts, you'll also be able to spot a narrow strip of shift at the cuff and collar. It's not a huge detail but I like it (and soon, I plan to have some more tops to go underneath. Soon.

So what did I do to this poor thing? Well, the kirtle texture is Sherahbim (an unholy fusion of Lady and Drama), but the gored seaming is mine. I was trying to replicate the look of a typical pull-over gown-- this one has no laces front OR back, so if you use it with Cynnix's loose untuckable top, it'll still look spiffy. The apron is a combination of M (linen, folds) and Iamliz13 (tie, smocking). I bumped the hell out of that smocking. Also the apron texture sits right exactly on the mesh's waistline, so if you find a bloused top, it should still look pretty good.

It plays well with most headgear.

It's available for Child, Teen, and YA/Adult/Elder ladies on the same mesh as the wide-laced kirtles (Jacci, Oph3lia, Io, a lot of mashing-up in that mesh). The adult and teen meshes do have a pregmorph, and this kirtle has long sleeves, so it's enabled for casual, maternity, and outerwear. Colors, of course, are by CuriousB, Pooklet, and Aelia, and the color-to-linen combos are the same as my chausses and placket shifts.

Naturally, because there are 82 colors, everything is texture-referenced and compressorized. Adults are the masters, so don't throw out the adult version of a color you want for kids or teens!

Okay, you know what, let's download!

Wanna help me feed my cats?

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. Donors get two things at the moment: a) a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery, full of pictures of the cats you'll be feeding, updated sporadically when the cats do something photogenic and I'm fast enough on the trigger to catch it, and b) a link to the list of content I have done-but-not-screencapped, nearly done, partly done, or in the planning stages, and the option to suggest what ought to be in the next batch of things I focus on.
