Okay, I think I've put this off long enough. I'm sure I've missed things, but this is a good solid overview. I may add more later. And none of my own content is listed here, but... you're on my Dreamwidth. Click the Downloads tag, and suddenly there's everything.

Dreamwidth and LiveJournal

I have an easy workaround for LJ and Dreamwidth, because I make use of the Memories system. Here is all the Medieval content I've found and downloaded on Dreamwidth; here's the Medieval content I've found on LJ. (I add everything I download to memories, so I can find it later. Most of what I download is Medieval, but occasionally genetics don't get hit with that tag.)

It's entirely possible there's Medieval content out there on LJ or DW that I've never seen, and I know there's some I haven't downloaded, particularly from Sims Medieval. For TSM conversions, allow me to direct you to the TSM to TS2 Conversion Database.

Whole Sites

Sadly, as far as I know there are only two Sims 2 sites that cater solely or even mainly to the Middle Ages: Plumb Bob Keep (downloads available for anyone to see; contest and secret santa threads require registration) and The Medieval Smithy. The Keep has some ancient, Baroque, and Victorian stuff, too, and I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of every creator at either site. Use your judgement and do your research. (Yes, I'm going to make another research post.)

Now, there are some sites that cater to other things that have large Medieval sections that're easy to find, so!

Marina Sims' Medieval tag
All About Style - Themes - Medieval
Gara's Boutique Object & Build > Object Themed Set and > Gara-Mesh
Sims Design Avenue appears to be down, but you can find their pay goodies at The Booty and what looks to be most of their stuff at Sims Cave (requires registration, but very worth it!)
Everything on Wood For Sims is pay, which means everything on Wood For Sims is at the Booty. Not every item in every set is good for a Medieval game, but Big Barn, the Blood For Sims torture chamber, Fisherman's, and Winery sets are mostly very useful indeed. Tree House isn't too bad, and Plants and Garden is mostly plants, so really, that goes with any theme.
Lidiqnata's Medieval Theme
Blacky's Sims 2 Zoo (registration required) has a Medieval tag and has all Piggi's old Medieval stuff. Linking is almost impossible, but click Downloads and then check the drop-down boxes-- Piggi's Sims is right at the top, and Sims 2 Mittelalter-Medieval is closer to the bottom. From there you can drill-down and see only the categories you're looking for.
The Lothere Verso Downloads tag is exclusively Medieval.
Nixed Sims' Medieval-ish Tag has heaps of TSM conversions, accessory swords and signet rings, a marvelous huge orrery, and a fantabulous set of robot defaults.

Individual Links

And here's where I start some gross sobbing-- there are a LOT of sites that aren't exclusively Medieval that nevertheless provide a lot of good Medieval content.

Around The Sims:
Souk Bathroom
Ethnic Bedroom bedframe
Country Kitchen Bench, Stool, Table, Ham & Sausages, Preserving Pan, Chopping Board

Garden of Shadows
In general I recommend the whole site, but be sure to check out the Advents: 2010, 2011, and 2012, past themes, Secret Santa 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012, and Christmas in July 2010, 2011, and 2012 threads. There are hidden treasures there that I just don't have bookmarked.

Mod the Sims
First of all, if you hit my profile and check the Fave Creators tab, well, I can seriously recommend the works of all those folk. Alas, just checking out my Fave Downloads only gets you the latest ones, and I have PAGES worth of favorite downloads. And I shall list them for you! Not included are mods and hacks (separate list for those), hairs (for the hairs I use, check the Hair Dump tag), genetics, makeup, default replacements, and anything that is also posted somewhere like Plumb Bob Keep or Lidiqnata's own website.

Hacks and Mods
Okay, this section isn't for ALL the mods and hacks I use. That would be a very long list, as I have upwards of 400 mods (and only 83 expected conflicts, mostly involving flavor packs for InTeen or tweaks to Cyjon's Ghost Hack). These are the mods that help make a game believably Medieval, instead of just... you know, not frickin' broken.

Chris Hatch's Religion (Adult site, requires registration)
BoilingOil's Feed Baby and Plugins make a nursemaid mod possible!
USe Any Shrub as Toilet by Dukasha
No NPC Revert by Jaxad (BUT! Make sure you spawn at least your genie in each new neighborhood withOUT this mod installed.)
Share Beds Regardles of Relationship by Smonaff
Larger Households ny 5th LMNt (or a similar mod; you really need this one for Medieval games.)

I was under the impression that Chris Hatch's Religion mod clashed with InTeen? (also, I think the link you used for it is broken, and while I can find a description of it here (http://www.backalleysims.com/adultsite/showthread.php?t=5028#sthash.0TVgZuJA.dpbs), I can't find a downloadable version separate from the A&N pack at all, although I'm not very used to backalleysims's site organization).

Thank you for this list, though! It's very helpful, particularly so since I'm rebuilding my game after a crash right now (also, I didn't know about several of these -- how did I miss functional swords??).

Thanks so much for doing this, Hat, it must have taken you an age! It will all be really useful (as will the other info you sent me by PM, and that I forgot to acknowledge - bad, bad, Curiousb!).

I have quite a few things on MTS 2, none of which were mentioned. I'm also an original member of the Keep, and the Smithy. :)

I was wondering why I was getting all those hits from here all of a sudden. ;) Thanks for the link! :D
