My policy, unless otherwise noted, is 'do whatever you want as long as you credit everyone whose work is involved and don't break their policies.' Usually, someone whose meshes, textures, actions, coding, or templates I've used has 'no paysites' somewhere in their policy, so it's probably a good idea to assume, well, no paysites.

Date: 2013-02-16 05:53 pm (UTC)Right now, the shape-pairings I know I'm going to use are Androgyny, Athletic Girl/LBB or RNR, and RenGal/Brawny Knight. Cynnix's sneak-peek post about tunics for everyone has me sorely tempted to use the Neanderthal and the Punk Junkie, but there aren't any female shapes that suit those guys. (Look at the neck and shoulders on the Neanderthal! And the larger, manlier sexyfeet! And he's based on the Bon Voyage Bigfoot mesh, so we already know how he compares to in-game guys.) However, Cynnix has a Valkyrie in the pipeline that might work if she isn't too comic-book about the chest (she was a request, so). It's tempting to pair the Punk Junkie with the Faerie Gal, but I don't like the FG's ribcage measurement (needs to be a little wider so her arms don't hang funny. Sometimes women's thighs don't meet at the top; women's arms still usually hit their ribcage when hanging at rest) and ideally I'd want smaller breasts. More like V2, here, but with the nipples... uh, toned down. The other shape I'd love to be able to use is the Well-Rounded Sim, but again, she has no male counterpart. Cynnix is considering her, since she seems like a good step between Maxis Fat and RenGal Fit. (I actually made a really half-assed chart about the 'ideal' skintone spread.) But I swear, someday, not only will I have a mess of bodyshapes, I'll do an update to my Stolen By Fairies set to use them.
You should totally share the blockfoot Liana mesh! You're not the last blockfoot user out there, and even sexyfeet users use block feet for things like socks or light shoes.
*nods* Jusfels posted a bunch of Sherahbim teen conversions over at Feenwald, but I think they were all her Medieval things. Your post did make me seriously consider using that alpha dress in my game, but I'm already working with some Maxis nightshirts for my second-undermost layer.
I keep thinking about NPC replacements. I tell myself I can't do that until I've got my Regular People clothes and my Heraldic Clothes done. Which means I really need to get back to work on underwear. Though for firefighters, I'd suggest leather or padded armor, instead of maille or plate-- you COOK in maille and plate, and I think the holledoublet was developed after desert heat proved to be a particularly big obstacle to the first crusade getting underway. I think knight costumes (though maybe the Store ones) would work for the Uni mascots, since there are the cheerleaders, too-- Llama-based heraldry on blue and cow-based heraldry on black and they're pretty darned thematic.
