Yes, but usually most of the WORK in making those colors comes from getting that first base recolor perfect. After that it's all running color actions and making select guides for other bits of texture. I won't say it doesn't take long (then comes the SimPE monkey work, which includes fiddling with categories, occasionally fiddling with ages, copying or pasting texture-reference info, replacing crunchified textures), but it's not quite so intensely creative or fiddly every step of the way.

I thought the Amaryll dress was one group? Shows what I know. But thank you, thank you! Now my ladies can have gym clothes and simple servants' livery with sleeves that they don't need to be sewn into AND won't trail in his lordship's soup while they serve! And flats AND poulaines! That's exciting indeed. I do want sexy feet please, because I want to do one set of barefoot gym clothes with the skirt all tucked up over the chemise.

Wow, Androgyny, too? I wasn't sure the Store maille would show much difference with other bodyshapes until you hit a bodybuilder, a big guy like your Brawny Knight, or somebody with lifted shoulders. Under that much maille and padding, everybody's kind of the same shape. *downloads anyway and is grateful*

I know the feeling about not being able to stick to just one thing. That's why I'm trying to make my underwear recolors easy on myself-- if these are what's under everybody's clothes, then they're done and I don't have to worry about them. ... Although my brain did just inform me I need to do a second shift texture with the keyhole neckline from ZoeJ's nightgown, instead of just the Sherahbim gathered neckline that shows under the Front-Laced Lady. Ah well, it's always good to have two fabric options, right? *facepalms* Time to go install new meshes!
