My policy, unless otherwise noted, is 'do whatever you want as long as you credit everyone whose work is involved and don't break their policies.' Date: 2013-02-10 08:23 pm (UTC)I have plans for more outfit sets! But since I'm stealing Heget's layering method, I need to start with underwear. Basically my to-do list goes like this:
1. CF-EF short smocks with & without stockings & garters (stockings in 82 colors)
2. TF-EF Roman Bikinis (possibly with extra bindings) with braises, with & without stockings & garters (stockings in 82 colors)
3. TF-EF Lengberg-style tuttensacks (probably with braises, possibly with chausses in 82 colors)
4. CF-EF shifts
5. CM-EM braises
6. CM-EM chausses in all 82 colors
7. CM-EM shirts with & without chausses (chausses in 82 colors)
8. CM-EM long shirts/nightshirts (pending a mesh for that happening)
THEN
9. CM-EM FR chausses in 82 colors
10. CM-EM FR tunics in 82 colors
11. CF-EF Wide Fur Coat winterwear to match Rus Viking hats
12. CM-EM Skell Euro Santa winterwear to match Rus Viking hats
And then I'm not sure. I mean, I have a list. But I'm not sure of my priorities. Right now, for child through elder of both sexes, I have plans to make four underwear options (some of which will also be nightclothes and swimwear), one outerwear option, three full-body casual/formal outfits (though two of them are complete, for ladies, and one for men), one separate top, one separate bottom, and two female and four male gym outfits. I have half-formed plans for toddlers and more things for infants (still waiting on Beth to get back to me with a couple fixed infant meshes), and of course heraldic stuffs-- got my footsoldier tunics done for CM-EM in a couple different shapes (needs repositoried), plus Store maille for TM-CM, but I'm also planning to do child through elder servants' livery, formal surcotes for lords and ladies in as many ages as I can manage, and the OFB knight armor. Plus the Viking dresses.
And I also need to do beards. Probably work on those as a break from underwear.
When meshes for different body shapes turn up, I'll repository everything I can, unless somebody else beats me to it. I WANT the bodyshapes. I really do. (Although one of these days, I'm going to have to say to myself 'okay, these are the outfits I will never, ever delete,' and smush them all into one big package file. The game prefers to load a few huge files to a million tiny ones.)
I noticed even on the LBB Tig alpha tunic, there were some ripples poking through-- s'part of why I fell for Jacci's Runner Guy. But the lack of non-bodybuilder men (and thank you, thank you, thank you for the Brawny Knight!) also bugs me, because while I don't have a problem with, say, svelte supermodel women, I don't want to pair them with huge muscular guys. I want to pair them with svelte, whipcord-lean guys. Same with plump ladies and strong men. If there isn't an opposite-sex counterpart that looks similarly built, I'm not likely to use the shape. (Which means that, while I think a few larger and smaller bustlines would be fun... they're probably not gonna land in my game any time soon.)
Okay, now? LUNCH. Oh man.
EDIT: And now, after getting AF & TF gartered stockings done and having a first go at AF/TF short smock textures ready, and sleeping, I have installed new meshes, re-opened Body Shop, and checked things out. AF Androgyny is perfect! AF Athletic Girl is perfect! TF Athletic girl still has some stretching but she's close enough to perfect for me to put my hands up and say 'let's just get this done!' And oh my gosh hooray for chainmaille! I'll admit I'm probably only going to use the female Androgyny meshes, but it's good to have options! Thank you so much! There is uploading in my future! Well, uploading and editing pictures.
