Okay, I don't play a Medieval game, so what I'm going to say is probably null and void, but here it is anyway.

I find use for toddler athletic wear, but it's mostly just for show. For example, ballet leotards - the only real use is for them to toddle around the ballet studio/occasionally sit down and do that toddler wiggle dance of there's music playing. (It's cute though, and plenty of studios IRL have 'pre ballet' classes for smalls.)

Formal wear, pretty much what everyone else said - weddings, festive occasions/holidays, golden anniversaries, Grandma's birthday party ... I find a fair few reasons to put a toddler in something a bit fancier than usual.

If I had Bon Voyage, I imagine I'd put toddlers in swimwear for the beach. When I get some lots with streams/creeks/brooks running through them set up, I'll probably be putting toddlers in swimwear for playing around there in the summer. (Having a toddler pool & puddles to splash in means it won't be entirely aesthetic either!) Underwear would probably do just fine for this though.

Anyway, basically? Yes, I regularly put toddlers in most clothing categories - but it's pretty much so they don't have to crawl/toddle around in their everyday clothes when everyone else is dressed otherwise.
