I was thinking toddler formal wear for things like... meeting grandma for the first time, or for those who use hacks to take their toddlers to community lots, the church formal wear thing would apply to them, too. (And though I haven't done it yet, I keep thinking about toddler swimwear because one of the things swimwear is good for is keeping cool in the summer. Lord knows my plantbabies like to stay outside. Sure, they can't swim, but they can hammer on their little creativity toys in the sunshine.)

You are not the only one who insists their Sims dress for church! And, back in the day? You would probably either get a) married in your Sunday clothes or b) new clothes for your wedding and subsequently wear them to church and on formal occasions, so that works out fine with the Sims' wardrobe system, too. I don't know exactly when the 'wedding clothes as single-use items' thing got started, but I know it was post-Victorian, and only something the industrial revolution could've made possible.
