More in others), Lyn for making sure I had a working copy of Photoshop, Pooklet for her color actions and for making sure they work with various versions of Photoshop, Cynnix (not much in this one for you, I'm afraid, but I've got two more dumps this size to do and I'ma try and get them up today) for doing pregmorphs on assorted meshes and asking that I do long, straight hair that goes behind the shoulders, and to my generous donators, who made it possible for me to release twenty hairs all in one go without getting my Photobucket hammered.

HEY LISTEN! Meshes are included. Swatches are included in the zip files, everything is compressorized. Polycounts vary; Melodie9's meshes are the same as Maxis, but you may assume Newsea meshes are on the high side. Elders go gray, but you also get Time Bomb in the custom bin, just in case Primer isn't platinum enough for you. All female hairs are maternity-wear enabled from teen and up, and all male hairs from YA and up, to stop the weird hair disappearing act that happens if you don't have a Pregnant Sims Wear Any Outfit hack (but why wouldn't you?).

ANNOYING THINGS I DO: My filenames are stupidly long, so please feel free to shorten them. Better you edit them to suit your needs than I hand you thirty different files that are all named VOLATILE and piss everyone off, right? Also, each hair has an elder gray attached instead of only being stuck to black or blond (because if you want to only keep four colors or something, this way you can swap out textures and still have all the grays. Or choose which color you want your gray carried on. Whatever). Feel free to re-bin things to suit yourself, or do the neons, or whatever. Go hog wild, seriously. Just keep it off of paysites and give credit where credit is due (which may vary per hair).

This is not breaking my "No making Sims 2 stuff in August" rule. No, I made all these in July, and I needed a break from sewing (white lace dresses sell, but they are BORING to make and it wasn't what I wanted to do with those pieces so I'm sulky), so I said to myself, I said, "I'll make swatches and post a hair dump."

Meshes are included except where noted; yes, it is inconvenient that HP requires you to trot your butt over to MTS to grab her meshes, but hey. What can you do?

Poly Counts: I have no idea. I assume that HP is low, Rose is reasonable, the lone Peggy hair is probably high, and I don't know what SAU and Raon have reputations for.

They are ludicrously long because it's easier to shorten something too long than go "Okay, so WHOSE Rose D069 Volatile is this?" I don't even keep them that long in my own game. As a matter of fact, if you subfolder these too deeply, you'll hit the character limit and they won't show up. (If, however, your subfolders go Downloads > Genetics Hair > Hat's Ludicrously Long Folder Name, it will still work.)

Red Fish: Elders all have gray-- you get Pipe Bomb for Family One, Smoke Bomb (my homebrew) for Family Two, Mail Bomb for Family Three, and Time Bomb for Family Four. It is complete cluttery overkill, but every color has an elder gray attached, and you may count yourself lucky I didn't just do gray streaks or something. Feel free to re-bin and re-upload as you please, it doesn't hurt my feelings. Time Bomb is included as a custom for all (applicable) ages, since you never know when you'll need a white-haired toddler. Or something.

Blue Fish: Right, so, gotta thank Pooklet, Ja, Quaxi, Theo, Kale, Sugar and Caffeine, FantasyRogue, Bedwyr, Xandher, Ulkrshn, StakeitUK, Coolsims, Newsea, Dora Emon, Yuxi, Jade, Melodie9, Hysterical Paroxysm, HIM666, BeosBoxBoy, Talenzz, SimCribbling, Faceplug, Adele, CutthroatDollie, Augustin, Nissi, Marko, Sussi, Coldfire, Morrigun, Sim Artist's Union, and probably Nouk and always Lyn, because Lyn made sure I had Photoshop, and Photoshop is important.

I Do Not Like Green Eggs and Ham: OH PLEASE edit my file and/or folder names to taste; I made them ridiculously long so that they could be snipped down to fit folks' organizational systems. If you subfolder these too deeply, they could fail to show due to the name strings being too long. I mean, even I cut things down a bit. Better a ridiculously long filename you can shorten than going "Goddammit, which frickin' hair is this?" later, right?

2022 Notice: I am not changing the pics in this post to something less... what they are. 2010 Hat did not know a few things that turned out to be Unfortunate Ethnic Stereotypes, although somehow I did not use any ethnic slurs while thinking they were neutral things. I have grown! But a major edit of this post feels like trying to hide that I've grown, and that I was not always a person who could look at something like the clothes on the Sims in this post and go 'oh yikes.' So, yeah, some unfortunate portrayals of Roma/Romanii stereotypes below.

So I have always wanted supercurly hair in The Sims. Like, always. Stereotypical Irish step-dancer extreme 80s perm 'Wow is your hair naturally curly?' Bernadette Peters type spiral curls. Alas, the people who make 20,000 poly meshes never seem to want to go to that much trouble. MYOS 14 fakes it well-- the mesh is all flat panes, but it's the right shape for ludicrous curls, and I've always wanted to poke at the alpha to see if the weird, obviously flat pieces could be trimmed off the top and sides.

And they can!
