Hat's 'Whoops where is GoS?' Great Hider Repost

So, I wander away from Sims for a few weeks (it happens. I mean, I did a mini show, got sick, went to Disneyland, wrote a 40,000-word Aladdin fanfic, got an AO3 account, and next weekend is Halloween and my last doll show of the year, I've been busy) and GoS goes down. Alarming! So here's me late to the 'guess I better make some backup posts for my GoS exclusives' party.

In a continuing effort to back up my Garden of Shadows exclusives to Dreamwidth, without just duplicating the original posts where they're actually MEANT to be exclusive, here are the goodies that got heraldry of one sort or another.



I am an utter nut for heraldry, and when I got invited to participate in the first Garden of Shadows advent back in 2010, somehow my brain decided heraldic stuff was entirely logical. GoS already had a perfectly cromulent color scheme (that blue is azure in Medieval heraldry (when all blues were azure), but bleu celeste later on), and plenty of charges to choose from... but you'd be amazed how hard it is to find decent line-drawings of baby geese suitable for silly heraldic purposes.

In 2010, I had Plans, so many PLANS, to slap that heraldic device all over every banner, pennant, tapestry, and shield I could find. These plans... did not come to fruition. 2011 was kinder, sort of. I even built a special lot to show off everything! (Okay, I plonked down my favorite self-sufficient outpost-fortress lot and slapped bleu celeste all over it.) The following actually DOESN'T represent the full on Heraldry Project, either. Someday! Promise! In the meantime...

GoS 2010 Advent Uni Medieval Set & 2011 Gwenke Altar Niche Pooklet'd

If you play a Medieval game, the best thing about the University expansion is the Medieval furniture set. Eva already slapped some Project Mayhem onto the double bed, which you can find right here, so I didn't reinvent the wheel on that one-- I just did everything else to go with it.

Promises Kept (25 Mostly-Chinese East Asian Hairs)

Once upon a time the GoS Monthly Theme was Alternative Asia. I think I may have inadvertantly thrown the vote by saying I had a bunch of East Asian hairs just about ready to upload. My scroll wheel crapped out so I couldn't do my own pictures, but Koraliene on GoS and Andlani here on DW volunteered to help me out. (Andlani sent me sixty-three photos to choose from.) So while GoS is down, I figured I'd better toss these up here-- I've been meaning to forever and ever.
