I'm late to this I know, but I just want to say this: I am a cis black woman. I'm also a nerd. I love the middle ages. I love history. I hate what it has made of my people, and the way people manipulate it, but I love learning. I'll never give that up. What you said here, thank you for it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being brave enough to say it, and thank you for being willing to say it in a space like this. I have a lot of hobbies, and one thing is that people are quicker to shut you down because 'they just want to have fun.' I recently left MTS over that kind of response to some truly upsetting comments by other users. So this means the entire world to me, and I just want you to know I stand with you.
