You can add a religion at any time using the H&H fairy, no worries. ... I can't remember if you need to be on a residential lot or not, but, any time. Just remember, only the first five religions you make are townie-enabled, and you can't make a non-townie-enabled religion until after those first five are done.

But I mean you can easily make placeholder religions (you can edit everything about a religion any time, and edit deities' names through the usual methods) for those first five if you really need an exclusive cult.
