HAIR DUMP X PART TWO: Hair Dump from the Black-And-Blue Lagoon

Behind the cut lurk thirteen hairs for your downloading pleasure.

Since there are a zillion downloads inside the cut, the boilerplate goes outside the cut, so...

NO PAYSITES. Mesh creators' policies may vary, my policy says I want a cut (like that would ever happen), but Pooklet says no and these are Pooklet's actions. So no paysites.

PRAISE BE UNTO: The kind folks at MATY for their Castaway Stories extractions, Layana, and Aquilegia for meshes, Nou and Aquilegia for textures, Lyn for making sure I had a working copy of Photoshop, Pooklet for making sure Project Mayhem worked with my copy of Photoshop (and for their textures), my lovely donors who make sure I can keep my photos online (which lets me post hair dumps at all), and you lot for being patient with my long radio silence.

HEY LISTEN! Meshes are included unless otherwise noted. Swatches are included in the zip files, everything is compressorized. Poly counts may vary; MAKE NOTES. Elders go gray, but you also get Time Bomb in the custom bin, just in case Primer isn't platinum enough for you. All female hairs are maternity-wear enabled from teen and up, and all male hairs from YA and up, to stop the weird hair disappearing act that happens if you don't have a Pregnant Sims Wear Any Outfit hack (but why wouldn't you?).

ANNOYING THINGS I DO: Because I credit everybody in them, my folder and file names are stupidly long. Feel free to shorten one, the other, or both as you please-- better you edit them to suit your needs than I just name everything [COLOR NAME] and cheese everybody off, right? Also, each hair color has an elder gray attached instead of only black. Feel free to re-bin everything and cut out the extra grays, or only use one family but swap out textures so your elders have some variety, whatever. Likewise, I bin using Pooklet's original scheme, because it's a nice easy default. I totally do not care if you re-bin things to suit your own tastes (but hey, every hair has a gray attached in case you need it!), and neither does Pooklet, so do whatever makes you happy, binning-wise.

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare. Donors get two things at the moment: a) a link to the Super Secret Cat Gallery, full of pictures of the cats you'll be feeding, updated sporadically when the cats do something photogenic and I'm fast enough on the trigger to catch it, and b) a link to the list of content I have done-but-not-screencapped, nearly done, partly done, or in the planning stages, and the option to suggest what ought to be in the next batch of things I focus on.

Yes, if you want to do the unnaturals, please feel free to do the unnaturals. I have no plans to do so. Just remember to credit properly-- I tend to use Nouk's waves, FR's braid, and a chunk of curve I stole off Ja's Uni ponytail default.

Okay, I did this one REPEATEDLY. First, it's an all-ages-both-genders hair, and second, M&G came with five colors on the headband. This one is the male recolor where all the hairs get basic black; useful if you want this hair but figure four versions of it in any given bin is enough.

And this is the version where each family got a different colored headband; family 1 got red, Family 2 got green, Family 3 got blue, and Family 4 got gold. I did that with a lot of the Castaway and Bon Voyage hairs that have multiple headgear color choices. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Goddamn, I love these hairs. No, I seriously do. This is the first of my Castaway Stories hairs. I separated the meshes out of the big repositoried bundle from MATY, and used my textures for the hairs. The Big Hat mesh uses the same textures as the basegame Longstraight (or straightsimple or whatever it's called; my recolor is Not So Romantic. If you know how to repository and want to save some space, use that one).

I know Ja already defaulted this hair-- or rather the Longpart hair (this draws its textures from that)-- but I kept looking at it and looking at it and finally I looked at Nouk's Valentine hair and said, "I wonder..." I think it worked out nicely! As with the M&G dreads, the grass colors are sorted by family; all the hairs that use the grass wreaths are sorted the same way.

Dude, seriously, how kickass is this hat? So kickass. Take a moment to click the full view to admire the full scope of this hat. It's like Sparta collided with the Tiki Room and Loki's helmet. Like most of the Castaway Stories hats, this one uses basegame textures. Aquilegia was amazing enough when she defaulted out the DJ mullet to ensure textures that worked there would work on the Native Chief hat. So, you know, if your Sims want to take this hat off to go to bed... But man, why would they? This hat is epic enough to wear in the bath. ... But maybe not around low doorways. (The hat for Family 4 is a recolor I did myself; there were only three colors originally and I felt the collection was lacking in purple.)

Again, there were only three hat recolors originally, but this time I made the first one myself-- there wasn't a good red in the flowers, so clearly that had to happen. Also, I'm not sure what kind of birds have tailfeathers like any of these, but clearly they are terribly awesome birds.

Again, we start off with the black headband, because when I was deciding what colors to use for... uh, everything, it made sense to do every color with black. I mean, it's a black headband. It's hard to find an outfit that doesn't go with that.

And here's the more colorful version. I only really plan to use this for my Twikkii Islanders (most of my game's action will be centered in a country that draws mainly from France in the High Middle Ages (right before the Plague ushered in the Late Middle Ages and the Renaissance), because that's where the neat clothes come from, but the various Vacation 'hoods give me scope for mishmashes of The Tropics, The Far East, and The Vaguely Nordic), but it's a right useful hairdo for the Twikkii Islanders who don't, for whatever reason, get a really awesome hat.
