There are three colors I plan to put on every chain where a colored stone looks remotely attractive (I've done all the metals in solid colors, because sometimes pendants are gems and sometimes pendants are metal and sometimes pendants are stone or clay or whatever), but I think I agree with you... since I just counted and I've got fourteen different stone colors.
