I'll admit I prefer texture defaults even for clothes (except for NPCs and pregmorph-adding), because even on a funky mesh, somebody could come up with an awesome texture that I MUST HAVE for whatever reason. So I stick to hiders. Someday, I'll have all the NPC hair default-replaced and I shall hope to find age-conversions of all the Maxis hairs I use, and then I'll just hide ALL the Maxis hairs. And everyone will spawn in luscious Nouk or Pooklet hairs.
