So this here is the to-do list, the resource list, the stuff-I've-made list... Generally that big sticky post you see at the top of all the Sims blogs. It also has a wishlist, but I'll start with something slightly more grown-up than that.

The To-Do List
The To-Do List

1. Really, really finish the Sims 2 Store heraldry sets. Post to GoS separated by section, post neatly organized all in one lump here. Heraldry project includes seven original heraldic devices applied to:
X Tiggerypum's Alpha Tunic in the style of ZoeJ, CM-EM
X Cynnix's conversions of same for Aquilegia's Androgyny TU-EU
X Jaccirocker's conversions of same for Runner Guy TM-EM and Marvine's Athletic Girl TF-EF
X The Sims 2 Store Castle Set heavy maille for TM-EM
X Cynnix's conversions of same for Aquilegia's Androgyny TF-EF
Iamliz13's Medieval Alpha Dress (unless a better gown appears) as sideless surcote for CF-EF
Amaryll's summery strapdress as female livery for CF-EF
Something for male livery, CM-EM
Something for a lordly surcoat, preferably CM-EM
Nixnivis's Signet Rings
The Sims 2 Store Castle Set Banner of the Bold, Monarch's Mat, Monarch's Runner, Lord So-And-So's sword and Shield, and colors applied to all upholstery and bedding except dining table runner (unless someone wants to make that a separate subset for me)
Feenwald's caparison for Dragonslave's horses
Parsimonious Alansia table and wall flags
Parsimonious Thousand Stars tents
Simvention Mini Knight by Alexis
Marinasims Wall Flag, Wall Banner, and Standing Banner
Basegame The Fourth Element Wallhanging
FFS Fancy Fairy by Orgre Corp
UNI Fighting Llamas and Don Messwitthis Bunny pennants
OFB Big Knight by Yard Dudes Inc
SSN Banner for Four Seasons

And possibly coordinating recolors of:
SSN Knight Armor and Helmets (open and closed) for YAU-EU
Store Castle Set Chainmaille Hood for EM-TM

2. The Default Replacement Project. Will anyone use all of this besides me? I do not know. Probably not. But any accessory the game spawns that I can make look acceptably Medieval... well, I'll get to it (at some point).
Defaults in progress:
Party-and-games
Magazines (Basegame and Free Time)
Pet stuff
Miscellany
I have the vague hope that I can replace all the witch-craftable potions with Parsimonious's Panacea bottles (I love the pretty!)... Except Ove did it so I don't have to!

Defaults already completed:
Outside of a Dog, a Book is Man's Best Friend (Book and Novel Covers)
Ars Longa, Vita Brevis (Medieval painting defaults)
Rock-a-Bye, Hush-a-Bye (Three BU defaults)

Invoking the Spirit (Bonehilda as Spectral Assistant)
A Road for All Seasons (Stev84's dirt roads alpha edit)

3. Default replacement careers. Because there are enough careers to suit me in the base game and expansions, but they're more than a little bit anachronistic. Almost unadulterated text-fixing, that one-- I may change a few icons. (Sword instead of tank for military, etc.)

Business as Banking (in progress)
Criminal as Criminal
Culinary as Culinary (tentative)

Oceanography as Sailor
Pets
Security as Security
Service as Service
Show Biz as Show Animal

4. Live(.package) The Dream, which will be a HUGE text-replacing mod encompassing almost everything in the live.package, among other things. This may be uploaded in multiple parts.

5. CLOTHING for all ages, both sexes, and all categories. I've done clothing that isn't on this list, and this is separate from the heraldry to-do list, but what I'm aiming for here is a unified palette, with eight shades of linen and 82 dye colors. Basically, consider this list Hat's Medieval Expansion Pack, Clothing Edition. If you want to help me out, check out this entry for meshes I still need. I may add more at some point depending on what meshes turn up.

Scanties (Eight Linen Colors):
Diapers, smocks, and smocks with coifs for BU (Beth's diaper mesh)
Diapers, smocks, and shifts for PU (Beth's meshes)

Braises, short smocks, and long smocks for CM-EM

Bottom-only soled hosen for CM-EM in 82 dyes (Cynnix's mesh with Gwenke conversions)
Bottom-only Barefoot Braises for CU-EU (various pantsless Sexyfeet meshes, could still use Maxis EF, would do Blockfeet if available)

Daywear (Casual/Formal, 82 Dyes):
Short tunics, long gowns, & swaddling for BU
Short tunics, long gowns, & layered smocks for PU
Front-laced long-sleeved kirtles for CF-EF

Pendant-sleeve Bliauts for probably TF-EF

Du Lac tunics for CM-EM
Du Lac cotehardies (closer-fitting, more dashing) for CM-EM (Heget Perfect Tunics)
Humble robes for CM-EM
Elegant robes for CM-EM

Gym Clothes (82 Dyes):
Belted kirtle for CF-EF (On Cynnix Io Summery mesh)
Barefoot kirtle for CF-EF (possibly rucked? Or with aprons?) (On Cynnix Io Summery mesh)
Light maille for CF-EF (on Cynnix Androgyny Tig tunic)
Peasant shirt & shoes for CM-EM (probably on Heget tunic)
Gambeson for CM-EM (on Heget tunic)
Light maille for CM-EM (on Tig tunic)

Outerwear (82 Dyes):
??? for PU
Fur-trimmed robe for CU-EU (on Cocomama long coat with Cynnix conversions)

Other:
Viking Hangerok for CF-EF (on Beryllium Frigga dress)
Servo formalwear or livery? (on Androgyny meshes, but undecided which, probably Tig tunic/Iamliz dress)

6. The 'small projects' list, which is little things inbetween the big or frustrating things that will keep me from tearing my hair out:

Some sort of default plantsim hair that matches my plantsim SKIN default, maybe someday.
Photograph and post some invisible crap
Work on church heraldry (have brilliant idea! Must actually implement) and then slap it on everything the regular heraldry will go on, photograph it, and upload
Conversation mod-- replacing all the anachronistic clip art with more period images (in the closest style I can get)
Sims Medieval UI Mod, because I don't want the game but the logo is pretty.
Hairtone-linked werewolves, because if Maxis can link it to skintone I can link it to hairtone.

My Goodies at Medieval Sims

1. ZoeJ Tunics on Cynnix's MtF conversion of Tiggerypum's alpha tunic to fit Aquilegia's Androgyny body shape for Lady Chandler.

Resources

Still working on puzzling out the resource list, but I realized there ARE a few rather important things I can link to.

You want The Compressorizer The Compressorizer and The Wardrobe Wrangler The Wardrobe Wrangler. Why do you want the Compressorizor? Because it saves precious, precious space on your hard drive. Why do you want the Wardrobe Wrangler? Because it's a little more user-friendly than SimPE for some things... even if all I use it for is shoving jewelry in the proper bins.

You also need the Batbox, also known as the FFS Lot Debugger, by Pescado. Because it FIXES things, like stuck stupid expressions, stuck sunburns, stuck Headmaster controllers, stuck Kickybag controllers... Download it and hide it under your foundation with a Clothing Tool (go here and find your latest expansion, look for 'clothingtool') and your controllers for ACR and Visitor Controller and whatever.

If you're going to hack, mod, or fix your game, you need Paladin's Hack Conflict Detection Utility. (Sims 2, Programs, boom there it is right under the NPC Replacer.) It is invaluable. Run it every time you download a new mod.

The Clean Installer is essential if you plan to download houses, Sims, anything from the official site, or for those times you run across a set of walls or floors where everything's sorted into sims2pack files. Among other features, it keeps you from getting recolors that are just strings of random numbers and letters.

If you're interested in the Middle Ages as relates to Sims, I made a massive, sort-of organized Medieval reference post that's full of more links to re-enactors than you can shake a ten-foot clown pole at (I trust these links. I wouldn't send you to sites that I don't feel have done their homework without giving plenty of warning). If you'd rather just start downloading, I also have a list of solid Sims 2 Custom Content, although I admit I'm not going to go through every single post on Plumb Bob Keep and tell you which ones are the most accurate. If you're interested in accuracy, read up, THEN download.

If 'Medieval' isn't your thing but you want to make more things happen a) the way you want them to and b) automatically in terms of Sim clothing or genetics, I keep a quicky not-quite-tutorial sharing my favorite SimPE tricks that you might find useful, particularly if you've ever wished someone would just tell you what the danged fields you're supposed to be changing DO. Miros over at The Wooden Simoleon is also sitting on a treasure trove of information, because sometimes the same info laid out in a different way is also helpful.

Quintcia has a beautiful Sims genetics tutorial over on LiveJournal that's worth a thorough read; everything I know how to do to Body Shop content started right there.

For a simple set of resources I STILL don't have memorized, AllGame.com provides a list of Sims 2 hotkeys.

Wishlist (subject to random additions)

It's been five years since I started this blog (well, four and a chunk, I started it toward the end of 2009), and the wishlist section of this stickypost has been in need of a revampfor a long time. There's stuff on here that's been on there for AGES, and stuff I no longer want, and... stuff. Stuff everywhere. So. DO OVER!

I keep resource lists for pregmorphs, Medieval hats, and Medieval bodyshape conversions that aren't exactly wishlists-- more like me trying desperately to keep track of what exists. (If you know of something that's been done but isn't on those lists, please let me know.)

Oh man, I really really want...

1. A spinning-wheel as an OFB sewing machine. I don't care if it's animated or not, and I admit I rather like CTNutmegger's wheel, but Dragonarts has one, too. I do know about Sophie-David's invisible recolor (but the game still renders invisible polys) and Sunni's default replacement-- which I'd use, honestly, except Sunni chose to align the hand animations with the spindle instead of aligning the foot animations with the pedal and I can't articulate why, but that drives me buggy. If it helps, I found a video of how a double-pedal spinning wheel looks in action, and just a lot of nice shots of how spinning wheels work. (The video is of a late-model spinning wheel; the spinning wheel was invented in the Middle Ages, an improvement over the distaff, and the original wheels had no pedals. The spinster spun the wheel with her hand.)

2. A loom as an OFB sewing machine. As with the spinning wheel, animation doesn't matter to me at all. Cokenasmile has a great loom that would make a really nice sewing machine, but they haven't been active on MTS since August of 2012. There's also this TS3 loom by Hekate999, but Hekate hasn't been active since November of 2011. So this is a project that unfortunately requires breaking the policies of inactive creators... but I still want it.

3. One or more period-looking magazine racks-- as in, racks from which Sims buy magazines, not Numenor's doodad that lets Sims store magazines they've already purchased. I know there's a default by Motherof70 available at Plumb Bob Keep, but it's a default, not a new object, and... there could be more, right? Right?

4. Daislia's Ezio Hood as all-ages accessory a la Ja's edit of Daislia's Altair hood (scroll down to In The Hood), because I need more hoods.

5. I know it's a long shot, but I'd love to have three potions that work with InTeen and ACR: a contraceptive, a fertility booster, and an abortifacient. ACR and InTeen actually HAVE options for preventing, encouraging, and ending pregnancies, but they're options you click on, and I like the idea of a potion you drink, similar to Sunni's Vial o' Health. (Ideally the effects of the contraceptive and fertility booster would fade over time, but I already know this one is unlikely to ever be filled.)

6. I want to be able to use vanities, but I can never find any that appeal... but they're basically just a two-tile table (I've even een one-tile conversions), a wall mirror, and a little chair, right, so... is it possible to make a vanity that's JUST a stool and an invisible two-tile table-height pane (maybe with some deco slots), and then you add the table/desk/altar and mirror of your choice with Move Objects? Like a build-your-own vanity deal? Here are a whole slew of Medieval stools I like that could even be slaved to the originals, if this project appeals. (Okay, the SDA kitchen bench one is actually a modular bench, but the single-seat mesh could still be stolen, right?) Conveniently, all the chairs are from Tarox, Sims Design Avenue, and Avenida, none of which are around as CC sites anymore.

7. A child-Elder, male & female glove accessory, with wide alpha-editable cuff (I want to recolor it FOREVER).

8. This gown by [profile] godlimpingby converted to TF, with pregmorph and fatmorph, please. (In progress, but it's been a while.)

9. Marina Sims standard, wall flagpole, and wall banner have some polys that are flipped around weird-- what's on the front shows up on the back and what's on the back shows up on the front. If anyone could fix that-- and possibly slave the meshes-- I'd be very grateful. I want to use them in my Massive Heraldry Project.

10. The Parsimonious Souk in the Bath set would be interestingly useful if it were denuded of bottles and slaved to Buggybooz's Nooks, Niches, and Folly Garden. So would Tarox's Medieval toilet, which you can find here. The cushions on the Souk bath can be left as a separate subset, or on things like the bathtub, removed entirely. Faucets should probably stay separate subsets, though. Dark_moon provides!

11. Since Skell made some really neat tunics for all ages and both genders, would anyone be willing to make TF and AF conversions of FantasyRogue's chausses-and-poulaines? They work perfectly well for both regular Maxis Sims and Aquilegia's Androgyny bodyshape, as that's Maxis from the hips down. GodLimpingBy provides!

12. Likewise, would anyone be willing to take FR's chausses and put Chere's Plantsim shoes on them? Not necessarily the vines, but the ankle-boot bit. Ankle boots were ludicrously common in the Middle Ages and I'd love to have them as options more often.

13. I want to put together a resource pack for all the meshes I'll be recoloring in my game, so they're all available for anyone who wants to try their hand at bodyshape conversions. However, before I can do that, the following meshes NEED pregmorphs (and occasionally sexyfeet):
a. The no-jewel version of this AM & TM robe (here is the bejeweled original with a pregmorph added, if that helps)
b. These Zelda dresses (I'm a nerd and they work well for fairies)
c. These Castaway Stories meshes just need pregmorphs but these need pregmorphs AND sexy feet. Be sure to grab the grass fronds master. (The CS meshes are the only meshes that I don't actually plan to recolor.)
d. LBB and TLBB Robin Hood Tunics (registration needed, direct link here, and slaved to this set which guests can access). It's for the LBB, but it's already right there.

14. I want to recolor Trapping's All-Ages Wizard Hats, but alas the hair that goes under them-- Sims 2 Store's Long in Front hair (scroll down to Magic Beans)-- is only for YA through Elder. I promise the textures will be shinier if someone is willing to make me an all-ages version.

15. Horrifying Frankenmesh Clothing Piece the First: Take the Apartment Life am/tmbodywitch outfits (and Ghanima's CM conversion) and as illustrated, add a full-length robe instead of pants under the snazzy coat. Fat morphs for all and pregmorph for at least AM; I'll cheerfully do the textures and even the defaulting. Cheerfully.

16. Horrifying Frankenmesh Clothing Piece the Second: My lordly knights need formal heraldic surcotes to wear to dinners and weddings and such, so I need a new mesh based on the Sims 2 Store chainmaille with the maille legs cut away from the surcote on the and replaced with regular legs in FR's Poulaines. If it's easier to close up the front and bottom of the surcote (a solid cylinder instead of a split, hollow one), that's okay too. If it's easier to add a second group for sanely-mapped arms and legs (so I can use my existing surcote textures, of which I have sixteen), that is ALSO okay too. The belts can stay, I like them. Teen and adult, fatmorphs for all and pregmorphs at least for AM. (In progress, but it's been a while.)

17. Horrifying Frankenmesh Clothing Piece the Third: I want to make a sideless heraldic surcote in the 'gates of hell' style (loose surcote cut past the hip over fitted gown), so I need something like the Cut-out gowns by Alex from the Dark Project, but with:
a) Teen conversions
b) Pregmorphs
c) A smooth dressed body underneath, not a blockfoot swimsuit body (sleeves are okay as bare arms, though)
d) FR's poulaines if it's reasonably practical
e) Ideally but optionally, a trained skirt like the Pronup Padme Wedding Gown

18. Horrifying Frankenmesh Clothing Piece the Fourth: The worst of the bunch: I want a Medieval gown with a rucked skirt as a top-only dress. I have reasonable-ish parts; taking the green skirt from the TSM dress,, cut away everything above the belt except that one tucked-up glob of fabric, add the bloused torso from the gray and teal Iamliz13 alpha dress and the sleeves from the Cynnix/Amaryll shift. Smush as needed, particularly to fit over these skirts for CF, TF, and AF. Fatmorphs for all, pregmorphs for AF and TF, and I will name you patron saint or pagan god (I have three pagan pantheons to fill) of pretty much anything you want in my game's religious backstory. I want this top. (In progress, but it's been a while. The flaws are minor, I may work on it anyway.)

19. A child (or maybe toddler) through elder, male & female accessory Robin Hood cowl (child here), maybe pulled out at the front & back of the shoulders a touch so it clips less (I am not afraid of SOME clipping, though the LBB conversion up in the Pregmorphs section doesn't clip at all)

20. Based on FR's Crispinettes (scroll to Her Infinite Variety), Medieval accessory hats along the lines of a torque, the templars, or a heart-shaped henin (I'm partial to the flat-topped kind but the crazy wingy ones are neat too) to fit over close hairstyles like the basegame Low Bun, Shortslick or even Bald hairs.

21. Based on G-Knee's Aligeth Bycocket, any variation on men's caps as accessories. TM-EM only is okay; two heights would be nice but not necessary, to at least fit over Cynnix's coif.

22. Tippets for TF and AF, if it's possible to make them always point down. (Maybe Cynnix's cloaks can be of use?) May also need different sizes for different sleeve widths/bodyshapes, but the sleeve band could be solid at the top and bottom to prevent transparacy weirdness. GodLimpingBy provides! No link yet, meshes were given to me over PM.

23. It's silly, but-- any extra poses for these Maxis-based skeletons (sorted into Deco Misc for 113 Simoleons). Dancing, crawling, stalking, lying in state, lying in a state of disarray, broken into pieces, look, I just love skeletons.

24. I would like a bodyshape that's about one step above the Maxis fatmorph for ladies and children and one step above Aquilegia's Improved Male Fatmorph for the gentlemen. ... Or maybe something like the TS3 bodyshape, which isn't exactly fatter, but certainly has different dimensions. Something a little less svelte to fill that step between the default shape and the RenGal/Brawny Knight. What I need for a bodyshape in general includes: Warlokk-compatible UV mapping (for great slaving!), nipples and clefts for teen, adult, and elder ladies, sexy feet for everyone, and pregmorphs for at least TF, AF, and AM. I'm usually happy to let adults and elders share a shape, as the elder slump ages everything pretty darned effectively.

Previously Listed Granted Wishes:

1. OFB Ninja, CU conversion by Aquilegia
2. Uni punch barrels that look like barrels: G-Knee, Sunni, and Sunni again.
3.
A tunic mashup by Cynnix (from before my game aesthetic shifted)
4. Bipsouille's Burgundian Hennin hinged by FantasyRogue (or here and scroll to The In Thing)
5. DH's Prayable Jesus Icon stripped of cross by Gwenke (also available here, Pooklet'd)
6. Daislia's Altair Hood as all-ages accessory by Ja (original link is gone, scroll to In The Hood)
7. Liana/Needlecream mashup mesh with morphs and UV fix by Cynnix. I've recolored this mesh twice now, and Cynnix has also done RGv2 and Athletic Gal conversions.
8. Jointed sleeves suitable for a bliaut by GodLimpingBy (still needs a Teen conversion)

In an effort to de-clutter the front page of a million stickyposts, here's where to find some of the more useful doodads I've posted in the past.

In-Journal Useful Links:

The Great Hair List: Where to find what I've made, plus status on hairs (or hats or beards) I'm working on.
Medieval Pregmorph Reference List: Links to Medieval meshes that don't have pregmorphs or originally didn't have pregmorphs but have since been updated. If you know a mesh that's gotten a bump, leave a comment.
Medieval Hat and Headwear Resource List: Medieval hats that exist, extant hats need updating for one reason or another, and hats that do not exist yet, but should.
Medieval Clothing Conversion List: Medieval clothing meshes that have been converted to other ages or custom bodyshapes, plus lists of meshes that haven't been converted but gosh they should be because that'd be awesome.
Medieval Resource List: Sims 2 Content: If I didn't make it myself, I downloaded it from somewhere in here.
Big Medieval Reference Post: Hat's long, messy Medieval research essay. No Sims content, just history, re-enactors, and me babbling.
Simple SimPE Tricks: How to make your Body Shop content do what you want, with a few Build Mode tricks, too.

And here's something I feel kind of silly about posting at all:

Behold the Tip Jar!

In case you feel like dropping me a buck or two, should you have a buck or two to spare, so I can do things like make sure my Photobucket bandwidth doesn't run out.

9. Pregmorph added to the TF corset undies from All About Style.

I just made this. And I have discovered a fondness for making preg morphs. So expect to see ridiculous amounts of them from me. Especially medieval ones, since that's what I play the most right now. (And especially AM and TF preg morphs. Because with an upcoming influx of half-fairies now that I have less anachronistic looking telescopes [thank you so much for pointing those out], my menfolk need as many useful clothes as possible. And because there are never enough TF preg morphs, I swear...)

I just saw this post but, don't know if you even still use the skintones but just to let you know, on the Canvas skintones there's no need to ask permission. I know I always keep forgetting to post a policy anywhere but the policy is basically "knock yourself out" (don't actually try to knock yourself out) except you know, no paysites, no TSR, the usual stuff.

Some questions.
Request number 12. When you say these legs, I gues you are talking about the texture they have? Or the shoes too?

Request number 16. Are the bracers and the cross just textures? Or are they meshed?

10. University Punch Barrel - I will see about adding a period appropriate punch barrel to Part 2 of my MTS Barrel Collection.

14. If/When it ever makes it through the unprecedented constipation of the MTS Medieval Challenge, StephSim's colossal Medieval Neighbourhood contains chattable invisible floor mirrors that I made for her. which you may find helpful. When I release these in my own thread, I plan to add the usual Reaper "beg and pray" anims to them, and possibly some new prayer anims from FreeTime (if available).

I really appreciate all the wonderful work you have done on replacement period appropriate defaults, Hat. I am quite excited about these, and plan to install them all once I catch up on my projects, and once StephSim finishes the remainder of her Medieval Neighbourhoods - i.e. once I actually start playing the game again!

All the Best!

preg morph

From: (Anonymous)
Hi Hat,
I added a preg morph to one of Aligeth's male robes. You can find it here http://www.box.net/shared/t3oxt1ftgy

It replaces the original so all your recolors will still work. Take a look at it in game and if you are happy with it, I'll do the others for you.

Yay! Donate box! Now that you're all popular because of hair downloads (my gosh, the community is a bunch of freaking manaics when it comes to hair downloads, aren't they?), it would be nice to pay for the price of your popularity.

And this is completely unrelated, but something I noticed that I thought I might suggest-- I'm loving all of my default replacements, but when a Sim drops something they are taking to the trash, it's still the same ol' modern trash pile. Can those be DRed, I wonder?

Thanks!

I´ve just noticed your magazine thing and I remembered that numenor at MTS has a magazine rack with an invisible recolour, and I have your book replacements so the books in the rack are medieval, but the magazines are not. Perhaps you can take it from here and take a look .

Re Almighty Hat:
6. Dragonarts's Spinning Wheel as Free Time Sewing Machine. NOTE: Sophie-David has done an invisible recolor of the FT sewing machine that works for this idea, but considering the game still renders invisible polys, I think a spinning wheel with sewing machine functions would be worthwhile, if anyone's interested.

Hello Again Hat!

Actually I spent quite a lot of time trying to duplicate the Free Time Sewing Machine as a standalone object with no mesh at all but eventually gave up. It is possible but there is so much "dirty" GUID specific semi-global code that its quite a nightmare. The project started to get extremely bulky with code importations, so I went on to better things.

But in the case of the patched override that I released, although the Sewing Machine mesh is loaded in memory I don't think its actually rendered because the recolour is textureless and there is therefore nothing to draw. I simply make the TXMT's stdMatBaseTextureEnabled = false, which creates an extremely small and efficient invisible "recolour".

I don't know if you can do this, but I'm requesting a fix for the "Roundheels" hair. There's some weirdness on the back of the teen, child, and elder hairs - particularly on the child and teen hairs. It looks like the hair originally came with a hair tie, and with your version, the hair tie is transparent. It sometimes looks like the hair tie is picking up the texture of the clothing the sim is wearing, or like a chunk of the hair is missing. Is there any way you could fix this.

Hey, Hat. I had a question for you. I searched for a while but was unable to find BlooM's BRP Belly as a default for adult females. Does such a thing exist? If so, where may I find it?

Thanks for your time. Love your journal.

baby bumps

From: (Anonymous)
I just realized that I didn't share these with you yet. I can be a bit absent minded. Sorry. http://cynnix.livejournal.com/1569.html

I have the male baby bumps almost finished and I will get those done this week. I added the bump to both bloomers meshes, Gelydh's and AAStyle's. I'm making a stand alone version of each with sexy feet if you are interested. I didn't want to add the sexy feet to the original in case there are recolors with hose for the bloomers.

"2. The Default Replacement Project. Will anyone use all of this besides me? I do not know. Probably not."

You are quite wrong. In fact, I jumped with glee when I discovered this site - thanks a bunch for sharing your thoroughly made (and historically accurate!) content, defaults or not!
Your resource list for medieval clothes has, by the way, proven most useful. I'm trying to make some headwear meshes for my personal use atm, perhaps they'll someday look decent enough for sharing.

Greetings from a fellow dark-ages-geek and perfectionist!

I am also jumping on board the "Hat, I love you so much right now" ship. You are awesome and amazing for making so much stuff for Sims that's not only medieval, but actually ACCURATE. I could live with my baby's diapers being safetypinned in my medieval hood, but the linen diapers look so, SO much better. And the trashcans! AND THE MOPS! and oh god the kids' stepping stool! You have no idea how much better I feel with my game with your default replacement everything.

Do you know if anyone's replaced all of the default clothing yet? I see a lot of modern defaults (which I'm using for sanity's sake), but no medieval. ;__; Sad.

Second, do you know of a Medieval Sims forum anywhere? There HAS to be one out there that I just don't know about, but all of my (lazy) searches are proving useless.

Lastly, what I actually came to tell you: have you seen the second dress down on this --> http://witheredlilies.livejournal.com/12659.html? I believe they would work well as underdresses/underwear for the dark age ladies of varying classes, as well as swimwear with those flats.

I know this is a rather broad question...but how do you go about filling your gaps in clothing? I can't seem to find quite enough medieval clothing for children, teens, and elders...It's frustrating and makes me feel very discouraged with my themed hood.

I use a lot of clothing from Zoej, All-About-Style, Mirkwood Sims, and various artists on ModtheSims.

Do you make most of your own clothing? :)

HI, HAT! I got a dreamwidth :)

You may see more comments from me in the near future because - and honestly, I don't know why I do this - I am redownloading everything for my Medieval-Fantasy neighborhood. I think this about the third time this year??? D:

As I am mired in your era of expertise, I was wondering if you had an opinion of the SCA? I found out what they are through the singer Heather Dale, and immediately wanted to know what you thought. They ARE pretty liberal with their reenacting. Some of the photos I've seen for the different kingdom's Kings and Queens are like, whoa. I wouldn't download that *G* Too much floodfill!IRL, if you know what I mean.

Just wondering Hat, are you planning on making the heraldry in any other colors? I thought I remembered seeing that you were thinking about doing a yellow, and I saw a green (?) one with a harp in a picture in one of your posts to GOS. If you are thinking about it, I for one would definitely be ecstatic. :) But if you aren't, I'm sure I will absolutely love whatever you do do as well.
